39, 5'9 Male- Was on SAD for my whole life with crazy high trigs(over 700), Bad Gout, high blood pressure, among feeling like complete shit- I had to change my WOE otherwise I was on the same path as my uncles, father, granpa- an early death due to heart attacks and stroke.

Finally the only thing that worked for me to get my trigs down to healthy level and lose weight was carnivore diet... although im currenty more keto now I believe that starting carnivore worked for me due to the fact I already ate a lot of meat and basically grilled every day. I cut out the carbs which was extremely hard but after I got over the "keto flu" and into ketosis, my body lost those cravings for carbs and needing to eat every 2 hours. After dropping the carbs I lost 20 lbs within the first 3 weeks and the rest came off about 3 lbs a week until I stalled at 170. Been 170 for a solid 3 months.

Just recently started TRT due to symptoms of hypogonadism(T tested 200) So now im on the path to build muscle, feel better and have enough energy though out the day for my 3 kids and not needing to feel the need to nap when I get home from work. So far(3 montha)TRT has been a game changer in my mental and physical health but wouldn't recommend it unless you really know you need it since its basically a life long decision.

Currenty am not carnivore due to my HDL tanked(21) so iv cut the saturated fats like heavy animal fats and have added unsaturated fats like avocados, olive oil, fatty fish etc. I still eat lots of meat but its more lean. After 3 months of eating this way my hdl doubled to 42 while trigs stayed about the same(90).
2.5 years on carnivore Lipids and Apob. How's it look? How can I get my HDL up?
I eat mostly in this order- Ribeye, Hamburger, chicken, fish, eggs, pork ribs cheese, heavy cream/butter.
