Okay, first, you have a week to restart your device overnight. One week. If you can't manage that, that's a you problem, not Windows' problem, you also get pop-ups on Linux asking you to update.

And don't say windows update always breaks things, the chances are like 5%...

You know what actually breaks devices en masse? Kernel updates on Linux distros. We're talking about millions of users getting bricked, just go and check cachy/bazzite/mint etc subs and read the dozens of complains about how an update broke something, But sure, Windows is the unreliable one.

Also, you care about security, right? That's literally why Windows forces updates. Your 2013 Thinkpad with 4GB RAM and a 5200rpm hard drive is slow because your hardware is ancient, not because Windows is bloated. Stop blaming the OS for your dust-filled laptop filled with furry corn and minors.

You use reddit, social media apps, I mean ... You're on Reddit, logged into Google, probably using Meta apps, and all your data is being packaged and sold as I type this... You have a tracking device on your pocket right now that registers any step/place/ browsing ... But Windows's telemetry is where you draw the line? That's peak hypocrisy, hermano. Don't preach about privacy while you're living in a glass house.

No. It's not. Benchmarks show Windows dominates for actual AAA titles. Yeah, your indie game from 2009 or your furry simulator runs fine on Linux, but that doesn't mean gaming broadly is better there. Stop pretending niche compatibility equals superiority.

And yeah, you still rely and need to test 20/30 command lines on 3rd party launchers to play those games I mentioned.

Hola, estoy en Bogotá en un conjunto residencial, vivo en arriendo, Tengo una moto que ha estado estacionada en el parqueadero desde el 28 de mayo sin sacarla de ahí. Kawasaki ZX6R, Está en el parqueadero común del conjunto, donde están todas las motos, sin hacer estorbo ni nada, espacio para otras motos hay.

No la he movido porque:

Estaba normal, desperdiciando mis 20 minutos diarios que me gasto en redes sociales y me metí a threads, una usuaria de Houston TX preguntó que donde podía donar para ayudar a los afectados del sismo de ayer.

Para mi sorpresa, salieron los avispados muertos de hambre a dar QR's de cuentas falsas, posters de la cruz roja con números y cuentas de ahorro falso, investigué dominios de supuestas páginas legítimas y eran dominios comprados y registrados ayer o hoy, que se hacían pasar por entidades oficiales.

Homie fires up Task Manager, sees Windows sitting at whatever GB at idle, gasps like he caught it doing something illegal, then boots Mint and goes "SEE?? EFFICIENCY." Bro. That's not efficiency, that's Windows doing its job. Modern OSes cache aggressively because unused RAM is wasted RAM — it gets reclaimed instantly the second something actually needs it. Measuring idle usage and calling it a performance win is like judging a car's engine by how much gas is in the tank while it's parked.

This video isn't a benchmark. It's weighing a bicycle against a car and acting shocked the bicycle is lighter. Of course Mint uses less RAM, it does less. That's not a flex, that's the tradeoff, also, try to game or render on windows and see which OS WINs

Then the greatest hits: "bloat," "spyware," "just switch bro", zero mention that Windows and Linux literally handle memory allocation differently at the kernel level (overcommit vs. cluster demand paging), so the numbers in the monitor were never going to mean the same thing on both OSes to begin with.

Every Linux subreddit thread plays out the same way. Something breaks, and instead of admitting the OS has a rough edge, the community just tells the guy to switch distros, like that's not already an admission the first one failed.

**Fedora** — "solid", until you plug in an Nvidia card and suddenly you're negotiating with DKMS modules and praying the next kernel update doesn't brick your session.

**Ubuntu** — "it just works," sure, if "works" means Snap force-feeding you a Firefox that takes 8 seconds to open and packages that are perpetually a year stale.

**Arch** — the wiki is genuinely the best documentation in the OS world, and also a 30-page hazing ritual you have to survive before your WiFi card decides to cooperate. Audio on X11 is basically folklore at this point.

Mint: Have you heard about the THOUSANDS kernel panics all the Kernel update causes?

And here's the part nobody wants to say out loud: Linux users are the #1 Linux haters on the planet. Not Windows fanboys, not Apple stans, they.. they're the ones who know exactly where every body is buried, because we buried themselves at 2 AM chasing a kernel param. Ask any Linux user to be honest for five seconds and they'll rattle off more bugs than a Windows user could name in a year, because they have actually had to live inside the config files to make anything work.

No distro "just works" out of the box. There's always a driver, a service, or a terminal command standing between you and a boring, functional desktop — and the community's answer is never "yeah that's broken," it's always "have you tried a different distro." Which is just moving the tweaking somewhere else, not fixing anything.

Before everyone attacks me for being a fanboy, I use Cachy and Windows 11. I like Windows as much as I like Linux. Recently, this sub has been showing up in my feed, and 90% of the posts are from dumb users. Why?

- Microsoft forces me to use an account!!: Most of you can't even pass the OOBE screen, whining you're "forced" to use a Windows account, why not take 2 minutes and find you can easily skip this?

- Windows 11 is so bloated and slow!:

My man, I've set up around +500 devices with Windows 11 and never had issues. This is for corporate(job), family, and freelance work for developers, gamers, engineers, and such.

Don't blame windows 11 if you're using 2013 hardware with a lame old HDD.

- You can debloat any Windows 11 with one click tools, I wrote my own script to debloat Windows via PowerShell, but there are safe tools out there that get rid of 90% of Windows bloat.

- put your braincells to work and install the LTSC IOT version, it's highly stable and light, you can debloat it furthermore with 3rd party tools.

- I get a BSOD each 30 minutes! Why won't Microsoft come to my home and fix my 2010 device!!!:

As mentioned above, if you're using a 2009 device using 4GB of RAM, a 5200rpm HDD and some lame processor, don't come and cry saying Windows 11 is slow; t works just fine even on my girlfriend's 2019 Asus vivobook and an old all in one Lenovo, if you don't have a working brain to install drivers, don't blame windows.

Ya estuve en Terapia y estoy familiarizado con el proceso, sin embargo, debido a que mis síntomas de depresión y ansiedad están volviendo, quiero retomar terapia pero que no sea por la EPS (son pesimos) y que sea medianamente económico y que el psicólogo esté certificado/titulado (esto con el fin de autorizar medicamentos y llevar control profesional con mi EPS).

No pienso pagar más de 120mil por sesión.

Los temas a tratar son:

- rumiacion excesiva.

- Autoestima

- Superación por ruptura amorosa hace 2 (casi 3 años) que me dejó en un estado muy vulnerable.

Buenas, para la gente que tiene moto de alto cilindraje, tengo una pregunta, creen que los azules/tránsito nos están persiguendo por modificaciones de escape?.

En contexto, tengo una ZX6R y ya van 2 veces que me paran por exosto (punta M4 en fibra y tubería en titanio).

Antes no pasaba nada, ¿Cómo hacen ustedes para que no se les lleven la moto?.

Veo que las motos pequeñas que hacen mucho más ruido y suenan asqueroso andan como si nada, pero las de alto cc cada vez se ven menos por la perseguidera de tránsito.

TLDR' Linux gaming is not better than Windows. Not close.

I keep seeing this claim thrown around like it's settled and it just isn't backed by the numbers.

- RTX 3070: Linux runs at 81–83% of Windows performance at 1440p/4K.

- RX 6800: Windows 11 is 17–24% faster at 1440p/4K. On AMD, Linux's supposed best case.

- Intel Arc B580: Windows wins by up to **2.87x** at some resolutions.

- Fedora/cachy/nobara vs Windows 11, same hardware, same games: Windows won *every single title*. Cyberpunk 2077 (149 vs 140 FPS), Arc Raiders (145 vs 133, with a brutal 1% low gap — 131 vs 94), Marvel Rivals (116 vs 110.

Yes, some 2015 games and $2 indie games may run sightly better...

But the FPS gap isn't even the worst part. It's the *experience*.

On Windows: you click the .exe. It runs. That's the whole tutorial. (Maybe just a 1 minute debloat with a script)

On Linux: you open Lutris with 5 possible configs or figure out which of six Proton versions this specific game actually likes (GE-Proton9-2? Experimental? vanilla Proton 8?), maybe add a launch flag like `PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1` or `gamemoderun %command%`, check ProtonDB to see what other people had to hack together to get past the menu screen, and if it's an anti-cheat title you just... don't get to play it. Every game is its own science project. People online call this "tinkering" like it's a feature. It's not a feature, it's duct tape.
