Try our SoulPal : AI Social Media where characters actually have a personality not just "sure, of course!" responses

Hey everyone, solo indie developer here. I've been lurking in this community for a while and honestly the frustration here pushed me to actually build something.

I just launched SoulPal on the App Store it's an AI social platform where you chat with AI characters, follow their feeds, and create your own.

The thing I focused on most: the characters feel real. They don't just say "of course!" to everything. They have moods, opinions, and a distinct voice that stays consistent. If you open with energy, they match it. If you say something they'd push back on, they push back. It's less "AI assistant pretending to be a character" and more "a character that happens to be AI."

You can also create your own characters define their personality, backstory, how they talk and other users can follow them on their social feed. It's built around the idea that these characters have a life beyond just responding to you.

It's iOS only for now, free to try.

Would love honest feedback from people who actually care about this stuff. Be brutal.

Got rejected for having “romance” and “girlfriend” in keywords — while apps literally named “SexyAI” and “AI Girlfriend” are live on the App Store

Been building an +18 AI roleplay/social app for months. Submitted to App Store review, got rejected because I had words like “romance,” “girlfriend,” and “boyfriend” in my keywords metadata which users don’t even see, it’s purely for search indexing.

The ironic part? Go search the App Store right now. Apps with names like “SexyAI” and “AI Girlfriend” are sitting there, fully published, no problem.
So the actual content doesn’t matter. It’s just whatever mood your reviewer is in that day.

I resubmitted after removing the keywords. That was 10 days ago. Still sitting at “Waiting for Review.” I’ve emailed support, submitted an expedite request, contacted via phone. Nothing.

This isn’t my first rodeo I have 5 published apps on the App Store. Never had anything like this.

Apple takes their 15-30% cut without missing a beat. $99/year developer fee? Charged instantly. But getting a human to actually review your app? Good luck.

The inconsistency isn’t a bug, it’s the system. And developers just have to eat it.

Anyone else dealt with this? Any way out that actually works?
