verizon landline

Recently received notice from verizon that our copper wiring landline will no longer be used as of November. It does state I will still have a landline but I assume that will be fiber optic? They have been charging me a fortune for my landline so I hope this change will mean a lower price.I do have Comcast for my computer and was considering going thru them re a landline but frankly would rather just stiick with Verizon and not have to make big changes.. Anyone also going thru this?

carpenter ants

In May this year carpenter ants were discovered outside my home when one or two were spotted crawling on the foundation. I had a pest company spray around outside of the house, he said they were also seen in a tree close to the house (fortunately the branches do not touch the house) and under the concrete my drain pipe rests on in that area. My question is, how often should I have them spray around my house? He said twice a year but just want to make sure that is correct, thnx for any help.

healthy and safest insulation for attic?

My 1972 one level home with attic needs new insulation. First I read that cellulose is healthiest but then I read that it is dusty:( Is fiberglass unhealthy? I think thats what is already in attic(I recently purchased the home). Also, the air conditioner vents are all in the ceiling so wondering if that creates more problems for health safety.

healthy and safest insulation for attic?

My 1972 one level home with attic probably needs new insulation. Also, the air conditioner vents are all in the ceiling so wondering if that creates more problems for health safety.

attic insulation

My home was built late 70's so not sure how old attic insulation is. It looks very old but not sure whether to have someone replace it as apparently that can be toxic products. I also read that old insulation could be toxic so not sure what to do. One of my sons recommended leaving it alone but not sure if thats a good idea. Access into the attic is thru my bedroom closet :( Any thoughts?

termite bait stations

I am planning on having a pest company place stations around my house. My question is regarding whether IF termites invade my home in spite of having the stations, does the pest company eradicate them for free or are they not responsible for it happening?
