I don’t currently have FIOS but there is a possibility I would move apartment and the new one does have FIOS available up to 2 Gig.
I wanted to ask what would be the best setup to pair FIOS with when it comes to reach the highest speed and lowest latency during data transmission. IE: Fios connected with a specific router.

Once again Fios TV has increased my legacy plan(Triple Play with Custom News TV). It went up $7 this billing cycle. I think it did about the same time last year. This seems to be for the TV programming. Really have to consider alternatives but love the Whole House DVR, even with an ancient hard drive.
We tried contacting support....they said they'd send us a new adapter and it will take 2 days then tried to upset us in some business plan.
Anyways the moca light on the adapter isnt on however I had a spare adapter and it also has the same issue.
Included a pic of the adapter and the outside box, guessing its the odt.
Hi, I was on Spectrum and never had to restart their provisioned router (forgot which one was it). I am on Fios now, with CR1000B + E3200 (Ext), and there's another box in front of CR1000B that connects to actual line coming into my apartment. Network speed seemed to degrade over time (1GB, getting 800 (this is fine for me) up / 300 down now). Could it be just congestion / traffic in my apartment building? I'll power cycle the boxes later tonight. Is it normal to have to restart those boxes? Thanks.

I’m paying for 300mbs internet service through FIOS, but my actual speed sucks! I’ve tried multiple fixes (disabling IPv6 in the router settings, removing IPv6 UDP offloading, etc.)
I’m at my wit’s end!!! I get service so bad I can’t even properly load the Amazon front page!
it works on my phone okay, but I’m getting insane packet loss on my desktop, which is wired into the ONT with an Ethernet cable!

I moved into my place about 6 months ago and got Fios. It has quite literally been the worst internet i have ever had by FAR. It only works about 50% of the time, and i need to unplug and replug in the box about 5 times a day for it to work. Does anyone know what the reason for this could be? And should i try and get it fixed or just switch to spectrum
I’m upgrading from 300Mb service to 2GB tomorrow. Does the tech upgrade my Ethernet cable from the router to the ONT for me? I think what I have there now only supports 1GB. If not, what type of cable do I need to support 2GB throughput between FIOS router (soon to be Ubiquiti) and my ONT? Thank you.
Got an outage in the nova/dc area, been here with the same 1 gig service since 2018. I have to wait 48 hours for a tech since they think it’s an issue with the Ont box. How long do these things last for?
I am facing problem in my moto g35 since purchase,I can't receive calls or make calls often.The person on other side either receive busy signal or switch off message.There is no network issue as my sim works fine when I put it in my redmi phone.I receive a lot of complains from people trying to contact me.Out of 6 calls in a day I receive only 1or 2, please help me out in this matter......

ESPN has always had atrocious image quality, even on Fios for years. I know they used to broadcast in 720p and upscale. In the year 2026 of our lord, what is the best way to get a high quality broadcast of ESPN? Laptop hooked up to tv? ESPN APP? It is definitely not using the expensive cable box that fiso provides. It looks awful on 77" OLED, especially when compared to PRIME app.
Wondering if 2gbps service will be available in the area anytime soon. Last I saw was a post a long time ago saying it was potentially coming soon to VA beach?

I already reported them to the FCC and got a call from corporate a week ago saying they will fix the website. But they haven’t 😂😂. Is there some predatory lawyer that goes after low hanging fruit like this? Clearly we are getting 0.1% of the performance advertised.
I have a similar problem. I have the CR1000B ROUTER. I also have an extender. I'm not sure which one I got to look at, but in the last 10 days, my router has rebooted 94 times. I've had five technicians come here, and I've had 34 phone calls to Verizon, and they still have no clue. All of the equipment has been replaced twice, including the wires. I have plugged the equipment directly into the outlet 'cause they're saying it was losing power, and it still went out. So, yesterday I hooked it to a power conditioner by Monster, and it just went out this morning at about 8:00, and the digital number on the Monster was one 117. I'm about to change to Spectrum, as this is just so ridiculous. Has anyone else experienced this?
All this started happening before I even had the extender as I just got the extender when this started
I just switched to Fios after 14 years of being an optimum customer about a week ago. It just came into my area. Got the 1GB service and I was so excited to switch but I’m already regretting it.
I was told by the guy who sold me on it and the guy who installed it I would never have to worry about connection loss or slow speeds.
15 minutes after the tech left, the internet went out. After hours of rebooting, etc. it came back for another 15 minutes and went out again. Chatted with support, they sent the same tech the next day. He switched some dongle in back of the ONT, telling me they break all the time, even right out of the box. Not what I wanted to hear, but okay. Internet was back and it was fast. Awesome.
That smoothness lasted about 24 hours. Since then my service drops out multiple times a day. My Alexa’s are constantly telling me they have a problem, can’t stream a full movie a lot of the time without losing connection. Total nightmare. Never thought I’d go back to optimum, but I may have to. Before I call support again, is there anything I can try on my own to resolve the issue?
Every few minutes on my PC, Software Protection Service fires up, eating up network and CPU resources, causing my PCVR gaming sessions to become a stuttering mess. I know I can't just disable this service without it causing Windows to become "unactivated", but I'd like to at least block it from connecting to Microsofts activation servers for the duration of my PCVR sessions. Is that possible? I don't know how to find the IP addresses this service connects to though.
Short of that, how would I go about temporarily blocking my PC, and only this specific PC, from accessing the internet, without blocking it from accessing the LAN itself (PC connected to router over ethernet while Quest 3 VR headset is connected to it over wifi)?
My house is 380’ from LV utility pole. I have ran a 2” pvc conduit from pole to a quazite box 200’ away from pole. This is just a junction and I’m going to run 2” to the house basement. Is there anything I’m missing? Should i add any other junctions or stub ups? Is it literally going to be a singular cable from the pole to my basement?
How reliable is Verizon Fios for gaming on the 1GB speeds? I currently have Comcast, and last week I tried Empire Access, but gaming was terrible. I ended up going back to Comcast, and as soon as I plugged Comcast back in, I had no issues and everything was lag-free. I just wanted to see what everyone else’s thoughts are.
I just signed my parents up for tv service , which included the 4100atv and fios stream device. I opted to not get a VZ router but I was able to get the devices activated with their channels. They went about two weeks before they lost picture and I was able to restore service by factory resetting the streaming device and going through the device’s initial process, which included activation . I’m assuming that issue they encountered is a result of them not having a VZ router connected on the MOCA network or maybe it was indeed a technical issue the STB’s encountered or a FW push. I’m willing to continue with the reset steps for a couple more times , (if that is indeed what happens again in a couple weeks) to limp along till the area goes IPTV. I’m trying to avoid having to buy VZ’s router. Ultimately, I’m also looking to remove the VMS , since my parents don’t plan on subscribing toDVR service. My question is- has anyone that lives in RI received notification about the changeover ? I’m looking to see if there is some sort of light at the end of the tunnel.
