We were cleaning the break room and she mentioned how much junk there is lying around so I said “I’ve learned to turn a blind eye to it.” She replied “You’re telling me.”

My FIL is an abusive man. He has lived his whole life with no regard for others. The type of dude to not let his wife learn to drive, not take off his own boots because that’s his wife’s job. He’s an abuser. A rapist. A child rapist.
Still, after his stroke his family showed up for him. That includes my boyfriend, his son. So long story short he lives with us for half the month and all I have asked of him is to put his dishes in the sink when he’s done. All week I come home to his dishes and trash on my table after my bf has already told him not to leave that shit for me to clean up. I know he is fully capable of doing that and I’m not going to let this man manipulate me.
So if he wants to be passive aggressive, I will too.
Today when I left the house I made sure to leave loony toons on 100% volume.
If I can’t be comfortable in my own home, neither can you. We can be frustrated together.

After reading the comments I do understand this is so weird that he’s a chomo and I’m just like “wahh dishes”. Like wtf lol I’ve done so much mental gymnastics to be in this situation and I’m done. I’m telling my bf his dad is not welcomed anymore.
