Excitement Reactivity

I have a 9 month old cattle dog. She is genuinely a very friendly dog and loves dogs and people but it takes her a second to calm down enough and stop barking. We cannot pass another dog walking outside, she gets way too excited and barks and pulls toward them. For now, we deal with this by pulling to the side, having her sit and wait for them to pass by. This works 90% of the time.

She’s the same way with new people who we just walk past. If we walk past a driveway and there is someone in their driveway, she will bark at them. If someone is sitting on a curb, she will bark at them.

With new friends she meets it takes her a couple minutes of them feeding her treats for her to stop barking and calm down.

She goes to training once a week and interacts with dogs there and only ever wants to play. The whole time she is meeting new friends she is barking her head off but her tail is wagging.

I understand she is just too excited and doesn’t know how to control that but I’d really like to help her become more neutral with new dogs/people.

What is happening to my dog? Is she choking??

She will randomly start this coughing/choking fit for a few seconds and then won’t happen again for an hour or so.

Crate training 6 month puppy at night

I have a six month cattle dog puppy. She goes in her crate while I’m at work and fusses for maybe 15 minutes and then settles and is fine. I was having her sleep in bed with me at nights but she’s been waking up way too early to pee and will just pee on the floor if I don’t take her out.

I’ve started putting her in her crate at night in my bedroom, next to my bed, but she will bark super loud, non stop. I will get her to lay down and wait and give her treats but she will bark/whine if I don’t give the soon enough. It’s been about two weeks of this and this process takes about an hour before she finally decides to sleep.

How do I get her to settle into her crate more quickly! Also, I live in an apartment building so for my neighbor’s sake would prefer to not let her cry it out.

Refusing to walk

My puppy just turned 6 months old and refuses to walk. I have to drag her or pick her up to go anywhere. She has a ton of energy but refuses to even go around the block. How do I get her to walk without dragging her!

Freaking out over suitcases and vacuums

My dog will freakkkk out over suitcases or vacuums. How do I get her to be neutral around a suitcase or a vacuum?! It doesn’t even matter if the vacuum is on or suitcase is rolling. She will attack them and bark non stop.
