What's the best way to charge a 24v bank and a smaller 12v bank off the same solar array? I've read that you should only have 1 mppt controller per array, so 2 mppt chargers won't work.
I'm looking at the DC-DC chargers for the 12v bank feeding off the 24v bank but they seem to be geared towards alternators, and I don't know how the mppt would like it.
Hello! Anyone had luck using a Vicron Isolator along with an Mppt charger for 2 battery banks?
I have an off grid setup, 24v. I'd like a secondary battery bank to solely power a 24v fridge, starlink and security cameras.
Occasionally I use too much power during the day and over deplete my batteries. Overnight, my inverter shuts down and I loose power to my cooler and security cameras before morning.
The idea is to isolate these so that even if my main bank is overused, I can ensure that my essentials have power for a couple of days without sun.
I'm in the process of switching to Victron. I tried an Amazon inverter, but my charger melted it.
