I don’t really play ajpw anymore because I been playing since 2020 and I’m not rare. But I been trying to sell my old junk so that I can earn some sapphires to buy art commissions. However lately I been noticing that a lot of commissions are now more than 1K at minimum for the good ones, or like for a decent commission for flat color is like 500+. I lately just saw a simple ych for 5k+. Like bruh. I’m not trying to call anyone out but why are they pricey. 😭🙏

But now forcefully I need to start a conversation and take pictures with other people or else they are going to make me back into a kids pass (I’m more closer to 18 than 13). I am sadly not cosplaying anything because I didn’t know what to do. So I’m just going to dress up in a nice casual outfit. No hot topic/scene gear cause it’s too expensive for a cool set. Ok I don’t want to say my age online but I am more closer to 18 than 13

Context: me and my family members go to this convention every year. But the kids pass is obviously more cheaper than the adults pass. However it’s for 12 and under. And well they don’t check for verification and stuff. I low-key am not short and I look so tired and grumpy for a “12 year old”. What’s the issue? My issue is that it doesn’t allow me to connect to people around my age. For example: if I see someone with the same interest as me but they have the adult pass (but they are under 18) they will find it uncomfortable to start a conversation with me because I’m a “minor” even tho I’m not. Or maybe for example I want to commission an artist of on of my favorite characters such as someone from murder drones. Technically it’s not an adult show but it low key isnt like a kids show either. Maybe they might give me a weird look and maybe say something like j shouldn’t watch it because I’m too young even though I am not. Like I really want to get out of my comfort zone and socialize more and maybe make friends. My current friends dont like furry or anime stuff and my family members have no knowledge about it. But we aren’t “poor” my family is just cheap. So yeah am I just being annoying or something?

Edit: the 18+ requirements are an Id check and you get a special wristband. If you’re not then it means your under or it means you don’t want to participate in 18+ events. There are only 2 passes. Kids for 12 and under and then the adult pass. In SOME conventions the kids pass is actually only for under 18. But in this case it’s 12 and under.
