Anyone else find it a bit weird how Heretic Priests/Captains aren't part of the normal heretic progression?

It would be cool if vampire lords got an empowerment that replaced their mixed spells with a pure spell lore.

War-Priest Charon, the Savior of Eire

The Apostate of Eire, a man born as Cormac Mac Niadh. A Trench-Cleric who fought alongside the Fianna when his country was invaded by the fleet of Zacchur the Conqueror. A man who was captured and tortured into becoming a monster. A monster who seeks to awake Leviathan and seat himself atop the Throne of Hell.

This is story that he wears, but perhaps there is a different one that lies underneath. Perhaps this monster clad in blooded iron was a man who had given up all he was to save Eire.

Deep in the belly of the Hymn of Obscenity, Cormac Mac Niadh's will was broken. His faith shattered by the abandonment of his God. For ten long years he held out and for ten long years the impotent Tyrant of Heaven raised not a finger in his name. There, in that moment of despair and hatred was Charon born, the left hand of Zacchur, the man who had learned to put faith in nothing but his own sin-stained hands.

However this hatred for God may not extend to his countrymen. They were not at fault for his torture nor for the Tyrant's abandonment. Somewhere within his blackened heart he may have even loved them., So it was that he decided to bring salvation to Eire, and claim his vengeance in the process.

Charon aided the Fianna, allowing them to board the Hymn of Obscenity and sneak past the Beast Guards of Zacchur to assassinate the Conqueror. The Fianna also set alight the ammunition cache of the great Behemoth ship , destroying it in a great plume of fire. So it was that creature who had broke Cormac Mac Niadh died in flame, and Charon claimed its blackened hull to forge himself armor of Infernal Iron, crowned in the Elk's Skull helm of the Great Chieftains of the Fianna.

Zacchur may have paid for his crimes but the forces who had set him on the path to Eire were left unpunished. So it was that Charon led the remnants of Zacchur's fleet away from Eire, sparing his former countrymen from any further harm they may have wished to inflict. Charon turned to the tales of his youth and found the beast that would bring him ultimate power.

He would raise Leviathan from the depths and yoke the Beast of the Abyss to his will. He would bare the Chaos Beast against the Iron City of Dis. He would wage war against the Arch Devils themselves, as no mortal has ever done. Defiant to the Lords of Heaven and Hell, he would tear the Demon Lords from their thrones of fire and seat himself atop the blackened rubble. No longer a weak man crawling before greater powers, but an Immortal Lord of Hell and a Master of Death.
