Major technical problems causing stays to be cancelled [BARCELONA]

Hi all,

I woke up this morning and at around 9am I had a notification from my host to say my stay had been cancelled. No explanation from them, just apologising that I felt the need to cancel, the catch? I hadn’t cancelled.

I then found out this was cancelled by Airbnb.

Airbnb automated responses can only give me forums to read on why stays are cancelled, nothing about a potential serious technical issue that is causing many stays to be cancelled. I have opened a chat with customer support but they haven’t replied.

My host explained that they are experiencing major difficulties meaning that bookings are being cancelled and Airbnb is treating this with “immediate urgency”

My trip is in less than 14 days, and I had to rebook another urgently which put me out of pocket an extra £300, but now I’m worried the same will happen to this booking too!

Has anyone else experienced the same? I also received £125 credit to spend on future stays and a £20 coupon as a token of apology.

Is an iOS bug causing charging to stop working?

Hi all

I have a iPhone 16 plus, the charging port stopped working completely, had it cleaned professionally twice, once in apple, and was told that it was cooked and needed to be fully replaced.

Fast forward to now, around 2 months later, and out of curiousity I put my charger in the port, and it’s working? It’s the same charger that I thought “broke my phone”

I’m so confused… has this happened to anyone else? Slightly relieved as I was about to throw £100 at getting the port replaced….

What do I do?

Hi all,

A buyer bought an item from myself, I sent it asap.

It has been sat in a locker for almost three days now, I got the dreaded “24hrs left” notification and sent them a reminder message. They’ve got until 1pm tomorrow to collect it.

They’ve been online and not replied to me to let me know when they’re going to collect. The same buyer bought another item from myself yesterday even though they have something from me waiting in the locker currently.

If they don’t collect their item, shall I just cancel their second order? Or is that rude? I’m holding off posting because I’m not selling to buyers who are clearly wasting my time

Post office lost my item and is blaming it on RM and Vinted… advice?

Hi all, I sent a parcel worth £30 from Vinted on the 5th of may, I had quite a few orders to checked them all to see if they were moving as they should and one particular parcel has been stuck at the post office since the 5th (the day it was shipped)

I went to the post office to raise my concern and she said that “royal mail is having problems updating shipping”

Now, this cannot be true as it was a tracked 48 parcel, it would have been delivered on the 8-9th at the very latest, the buyer hasn’t received the items. So they’re refusing to take accountability, she didn’t even bother to look around the post office to see if it was there, just gave me a lost parcel claims form and essentially left me to it.

The catch is that I’ve been off sick from work due to an operation, so even though it’s £30, I’m still relying on it to get my by next month, that’s essentially a food shop for myself.

What shall I do? I don’t want to go through the faff of waiting for Vinted because they make buyers and sellers wait 35 days from parcel being deemed as lost to reimburse us. Would there be any point in calling the Royal Mail customer service number?

Thanks

Hi, I had around 50% of my meniscus on my left knee removed on Wednesday after two failed repairs in 2022&2023

I woke up this morning and my leg is incredibly stiff and swollen, I seem to have less mobility today than I did straight after surgery… is this normal? Does anyone have any advice?

Thanks in advance :)
