Why is the quality control on Disney Cars die-casts so poor? The paint tends to chip off if you drop one or even the slightest damage. It didn't use to be like that—they used to be more durable—and I wonder how the quality dropped so much.

Something that might happen

I have a feeling that Cars Lightning Racers if they made diecasts Cars, it would probably sneak in and dominate the main diecast line, since Mattel's Disney Cars diecast distribution isn't doing well right now with a lot of peg warming toys in stores. This also happened with Thomas & Friends and All Engines Go in 2022
