Will hydroponic stores take in clones from a random grower?

This is only my second time growing a photo. I was kicking myself last time I did this that I didn’t keep a clone for perpetual growth. So I did eight cuttings and five definitely have roots and are growing and there’s possibly a sixth one. I live in southern California where growing is legal, but I don’t have a license to grow to sell. I know I can’t put them on Facebook marketplace or anything like that. Does anyone have any experience with trying to offload them at a hydroponic store that’s selling clones? I don’t know anyone who isn’t just an online acquaintance who grows. But I only have room for one or two of these and I’d like to see them go to someone who can use them versus just throwing them out. My closest hydroponic store is in Riverside.

BAs - the forgotten teammate? Or should I look for another job

I’m trying to decide if my current frustration with being a BA is related to the industry or specifically my team.

I have worked for the same company for 11 years. For my first nine years I worked in Operations/project management. When the exec I worked hand in hand with retired, I reached out to my HR team to ask about new opportunities and that’s how I landed on our software development team as a Business Analyst.

When I moved onto the team, I went to scrum.org to get two certifications so that I would at least understand the framework the team uses. I knew it wouldn’t make me an expert, but it would at least give me the same language and conceptual understanding.

We have a proprietary software system that is always in a constant state of improvement. My specific responsibility revolves around our “maintenance ” requests. These are requests to address specific, small improvements across the platform. I work with our Subject Matter Experts to gather requirements, build out user stories and acceptance criteria, consult with design /other teams, obtain time and complexity estimates, and come up with testing criteria so that I can add tasks to sprint planning. I work from home, and honestly on paper this is a great job!

But I find I’m constantly forgotten. I’m left off calls, deliberately, that directly impact my work. Hardly any of my maintenance requests move from Sprint Planning to an actual sprint. I recently pushed back on being left off calls and I was told it’s not appropriate to invite me to the calls (where we’re discussing a task I am literally managing) because “I don’t understand the whole scope of work.” … which yeah, when I’m constantly excluded I don’t know the full scope.

Is this typical for a BA role? I approached HR for some help with this situation and was just told my role is vital and everyone thinks I’m doing a great job :/ I went from managing a team of 12 to feeling like I’m always in the shadows.

I think I’m also feeling some imposter syndrome, and that’s really holding me back from looking for a similar role somewhere else. I really do like the work! I’m just not sure the 2 to 3 years I’ve been in this role now would really give me the experience another company would see and value. My greatest fear is accepting a role and stepping into it and being very clueless about what’s needed.

How 420 friendly is Pueblo?

In Southern California, I’m able to grow in a 2 x 2 in a townhome. How likely am I to get permission to continue to grow in Pueblo as a ren ter?

My garden mantis for 2026

The past three years I’ve been blessed to have a wild mantis in my garden that wants to interact with me. This is this years mantis :) When I water, he/she comes out of the foliage and waves his front legs. I pick him up for a few seconds then put him back. I turn the hose to mist function and give him a quick spray.

How easy is it to find a landlord who allows 420 cultivation?

I’m a 50 year-old about to be divorced woman with two dogs. I currently live in Southern California. I have really bad gastroparesis and I got into growing my own 420 a few years ago. I want to move out of Southern California and I’m from the Wisconsin/Minnesota area.. I grow in a 2 x 2 tent (that’s 2‘ x 2‘) and typically one plant at a time. I don’t smoke inside. I’ve been looking at the Rochester area because it’s only a few hour drive to my hometown in WI. Obviously, since it’s an automatic felony in Wisconsin, I don’t really want to move back to that state.

How are Landlord’s in the Rochester area when it comes to growing like this? I don’t want to do it under the table and then get caught sometime. I want to be above board with everything and make sure that everyone is OK with it before I move in.

I already work remote, and I have everything set up with my employer so my job will go with me. I just need to figure out where I’m going!

401 k loan so I can move after filing for divorce

Two years ago, I found out my husband was having an affair. We’ve tried counseling and it’s not going to work. I’m done. I’m ready to move on.

My husband and I have been married for 16 years. We currently live in Southern California. We have no money. We have less than $400 currently in our checking account and about $300 in our savings account. The reason that this is drug on for two years is that I can’t afford to move… I can’t even afford the filing fee.

I need to move on with my life, even if that means literally just taking what I can fit in my car and leaving Southern California. I have family in Wisconsin who can help me start over. But I have to be able to afford to get there.

I know my husband will get half of my 401(k). He doesn’t have one of his own. I’d like to take out a loan to get me moved. I plan on filing officially right before I leave California. Can I take a loan out for moving expenses prior to filing or will that result in a greater loss from my 401(k) when we finally get before a judge? We can’t afford an attorney to help us with a divorce so we will be doing a self divorce.

Red Kuri Squash is insane this year!

Had a rough “winter” in So Cal due to heat :/ most of my cool crops bolted or didn’t grow very well. I had to harvest an entire bed… I think it was close to 30 bok choy all at once and juice them because they just bolted on me.

So I planted my squash really early this year and it is just insane!! I think I’ll be harvesting some of these around the end of July.

I’m starting to think about what would happen if the Farm act did pass and we can’t buy seeds from other states. Still don’t know how likely that is, but I primarily grow auto flowers so I’m looking for some reputable breeders in California who specialize in auto flowers.

I already purchase from Spencer Beans :D
