So frustrating watching the radar this afternoon 😒

Cells keep popping up and disappearing around the fires.

Anywhere the rain isn't actually wetting the ground, is actually worse for the fires because of wind/lightning 😬. Hoping for a decent cell to extinguish the whole damn area and give our heroes a much needed break!

Driving back to Pueblo from Walsenburg

Hello, I’m from Pueblo but currently I am in Walsenburg visiting family. I want to take I-25 back up so it’s the easiest route I know back home, but I am concerned if I-25 is safe to drive on back up. Anybody who has driven on I-25 could you tell me if it is safe at all? I am ok with low visibility but I want to make sure that I will be ok. I plan on driving back up the Tuesday of this week.

Is it raining??

Pueblo West here, I’m hearing thunder and seeing lightning which I thought seemed promising since the fires are close. But that was because I assumed there was also rain, but I dont see any reports. Is it just lightning/thunder??

Questions about steps to take when I return home from wildfire evacuation. Not sure what to expect.

I’m impacted by the wildfires in the area, had to evacuate and currently staying in a hotel. I expect my house is still standing (solar and some network devices were still responding until all power was cut off in the area Any hotspots in my home’s immediate vicinity seem to have been controlled and I’ma bit outside the perimeter zone). Fingers crossed, I’ll get to go home in the coming weeks.

I’ve never been in a situation like this though. Even if the house is still standing and structurally sound, there’s probably smoke damage, possibly other burn damage from hot ash (the fires got within a mile of my home).

For anyone who’s been through a wildfire evacuation like this and gone home, what should I expect, and what hazards should I be aware of? Will things like clothes, bed, and so on be salvageable? Are there things that 100% should be discarded? And can the house just be cleaned and aired out? And is there anything specific structurally inside and outside I should look out for that might not be obvious?

David Lucero, Polis and lil king dump....

Too busy to help with the FIRES?!?

I get it ....so many " important" things to do...while wildlife, homes and thousands of acres of beautiful land burn to ash.

Not to mention all the anxiety, stress and financial tragedy.

But hey, just keep on shitting on the world, the rest of us don't matter anyway, right?!

Seeking a Blademaster

I have a fervent desire to learn the way of the sword. I’m seeking someone to train me in battle, and in exchange, I will battle for you in the time I am in your service.

The Aspen Acres fire on top of the Applewood Fire disgraces Pueblo County governance.

Anyone in Pueblo, Pueblo County, Colorado City, Beulah, and Rye who voted for the "Lord of the Ashes" David Lucero should be ashamed. Pay attention to your community and what is happening. Treat each other with basic respect and build good worlds. That means less naked authoritarianism. It means we reflect on the communities we build.

I am heartbroken for the losses and difficulties that thousands are sharing.

I see the world and our selves better than anyone in history. We will build better communities and lives. I love you, as I love all.

Lucero and his team spent 1000s of hours in the last year pretending I was a threat without ONCE explaining what they were doing.

It has to be unprecedented. But speaking of precedent, seems likely there will be many lawsuits out of this debacle.

The smoke from the Aspen Acres fire was glowing in the sunset tonight. It was eerie.

Looking for ways to help those impacted by the fires

Hi folks, I'm an artist based out of Albuquerque, but my dad's family is originally from Otero County, CO. Southeast Colorado is very near and dear to my heart. I happened to drive through Pueblo on Monday and saw what was happening with the fire.

I don't have a huge following, but I want to use what platform I do have to try to fundraise for relief for those affected by the fires. Are there any local organizations that are currently on the ground helping out that are accepting donations?

Thanks, and stay safe, everyone.

I don’t care that this fire is 30 miles away. When you can see the flames it’s too close. I’ve met a couple of people who were evacuated and they had to leave some of their pets. My prayers to them and their loved ones. 😔 I’m going to start getting donation items ready.
