Do we have any depictions of a tow truck equivalent?

Star Wars focuses mainly on war (🤯) vehicles and I guess basic civilian speeders, so utility vehicles are mostly left to the fanon community. But even then I can’t seem to find any concepts or designs of an in universe tow truck. I imagine they’d be a thing since tugs for larger ships exist. Is there any depictions or description of them either in universe or from a fanon creator? If not what do y’all think one would look like?

What are some naturally occurring anomalies that could destroy a planet?

Outside of planet destroying stations and orbital hazing by a fleet, what were some things that could destroy a planet? Either completely destroying it or basically making it uninhabitable. I know we’ve seen examples like their starts exploding and there’s real life examples that probably exist in universe too (meteors). But I just want to get a general sense of just how much your average planet had to worry and maybe see if there’s anything specific to the universe.

Are there any countries outside North America that currently use NA vehicles?

By North America I’m counting the Caribbean, and I know a lot of them already use at least the civilian version of American police cars. But are there any countries that use American vehicles as a main car? Not like a one off, promotional car situation.

What would some good ships for an Imperial transit agency?

I’m thinking of head-canoning my own non military agency within the Empire, that would deal with enforcing laws and regulations regarding space-faring vessels and just dealing with hyperplanes and space travel in general . Think highway patrol/commercial enforcement but in space/ports. What are some ships that would fit that role well? I’m thinking maybe corvettes able to get around convoys, but maybe also some sort of carrier able to hold something small enough to board ships for inspections.

Image is from PurpleEmpire on deviantart. It’s what inspired me to create the agency

What if black towns had been allowed to prosper?

So after the Civil War, I know many towns that were majority/fully black did grow substantially in terms of economics and population. But it seems like eventually they would be destroyed or ravaged by some sort of white mob or race riot. So what if these towns were not only allowed, but maybe also encouraged to prosper and grow into average cities with the capability to rival non black ones? I can see this happening in two ways. Either letting them create militias/law agencies backed by the federal government, or maybe a whites supremacists belief that by allowing them to have their own cities, they will leave whites their own “uncontaminated” ones. Idk what y’all think?

When did open corruption in US policing end?

As a Mexican American, I always hear and see stories of officers taking bribes and doing other unprofessional or outright illegal acts in broad daylight with seemingly little to no shame. I’ve always enjoyed discussing this topic and trying to understand just how frequent it is. But here in US people like to paint an image of noble officers that are bound by moral codes.

But while studying history there’s obvious examples where that wasn’t the case, like in the prohibition and civil rights eras. But nowadays most corruption cases are more behind the scenes like stealing OT hours or letting government officials off Scott free. So when exactly did open corruption end in the US? When was the last time you could bribe an officer to not get a ticket?

Could objects without a hyperdrive end up inside hyperspace?

We’ve seen space travel have many dangers, even inside hyperspace which seemingly is self contained. But we know ships can be pulled out of hyperspace by things like gravity and large objects blocking lanes. Could objects like asteroids or other large space objects that were without piloting capabilities like hyperdrives or even engines enter hyperspace? Either accidentally (being pushed into it by ship ie.) or “purposely” (idk how that would happen)?

Can Chiss and Humans procreate?

Random question but I head cannoned a Chiss enclave inside the main galaxy and was thinking about how they’d probably become inbred due to isolation from other Chiss. Do we know if it’s possible for a human-Chiss hybrid or are they too far gone genetically?

Maritime Ships

I know this sub is more based towards space vessels, but I think aquatic based ships are severely overlooked in the fandom.

There’s a handful of fully aquatic vehicles depicted in universe. Most of these are combat ships, and a lot have only a single image. Most fans say that they’re obsolete since repulsorcraft can fight over, on, and in some cases inside of water. But I think this overlooks the irl benefits we have to using ships over planes.

Traveling on water consumes less energy than constant flight. So while cargo that requires urgency, like people, can be flown around at will pretty much anywhere on a planet with no loss of income, it’d probably benefit merchants to move stuff around through waterways. It’d allow them to have supersize cargo ships like we do irl, and not having to worry about weight limitations flying ones would have. And militarily it wouldn’t hurt to have a couple fighter carriers around so they don’t have ships constantly patrolling areas far from land.

Did any planet/government refuse to recognize the Imperial Remnant as a legitimate government?

After the New Republic and Imperial Remnant made peace and recognized each other as existing nations, were any planets salty about the imperials getting off relatively Scot-free? And if so how did they react? Did they simply refuse to acknowledge their existence or did anyone continue to fight?

What species were explicitly prohibited from joining the Imperial army?

I know it’s a topic of discussion about wether or not the empire allowed aliens within its military, and if so to what degree. But I came across something in the Gotal wookieepedia page that caught my interest. It said that the Gotal were distrusted by the empire and therefore prohibited from joining its military. Were there any other species that were 100% prohibited from serving?

Does anyone else prefer the legends style army goggles?

I know it’s still canonically used by AT-ST pilots, but the main army troopers seem to exclusively use the newer design. Though it’s not a big change to the overall uniform or story, I feel like the legends goggles invoke more of what the Imperial army was. A faceless, simplistic, and boring organization who gave its personnel the bare minimum equipment.
