Why doesn’t the rat speak with a French accent? He’s from France. They established he lived in the restaurant his whole life… I feel like they’re implying that all rats originate in America and are brought to France by Americans. Like the bumbling AMERICAN buffoon, Linguine.
I’m going through a super tough time in my life and in hopes of a free thing to get back into I’m getting a new library card and want to pick up a book. I am going to list out some things I like, let me know if you have suggestions.
- I like Madeline Miller’s books a LOT
- I have adhd and dyslexia so nothing with complex language
- I’m not looking for any more of that soft core 🌽 style stuff, I’m okay with some of it but not the whole thing.
- I love being outside in nature, science or nature themes
- I like suspense but not horror themes
- It needs to be more fast paced and not lull through details or I’ll lose interest
- it’s been awhile since I read a book so maybe something not too long for a easy win
