Hello there,

to those who upgraded from an U2 to an U3, was it worth it? I recently got my hands on the last U2 produced, the one with (barely visible) backlit buttons and the said to be improved scroll wheel. I only control devices via Infrared. Has anyone with a similiar usage scenario upgraded from an U2 to an U3 and do think it was worth it?

I read about a new App being available but I also read you don't need it for the U2. Can you use the new App with the U2 tho and does the new App do anything better than the old one? I was ok with the old App, don't get me wrong, but I would have loved to see a remote profile feature for example, so that you only have to copy over one complete profile from one remote to another without having to re-setup all your customisations agaon.

I can't figure out how regenerate works. I hope you guys can help me.

For example, I have Golgari Charm in my Deck. It's an Instant that, among other things, says "Regenerate each creature you control". My opponent cast a -4/-4 on one of my creatures. The creature, a 1/1, would die from it. I cast Golgari Charm but my creature didn't get saved. Does a -4/-4 not count as "the next time that turn it would be destroyed"?

I'm late to the party but I just heard about M2EX. I joined its Discord Server in order to install it the right way just to learn it's not compatible with the GoG version. The prerequisites state "(can be played offline)" which I find a bit weird. Isn't GoG a much, much... much better alternative when it comes to playing (old) games like Medieval II offline? I mean even the installation files can be downloaded offline and, unlike on Steam, I actually own the game instead of just being granted a licence to play it.

Are there any plans to make it work with the GoG version or can I do something on my side to make it work with the GoG version? Thanks in advance.

after a long time, I’ve dusted off HOMM3 (Complete) again, found out about and pimped it up with VCMI for the first time, and spiced it up with a few minor mods. So far, I’m really enjoying it.

What I don’t like though, and I only realized this after playing a few games, is managing multiple cities.

So I’m looking for maps where there’s only one city and no neutral cities, meaning the only other cities should be those of the enemies, which you can wipe out once you’ve conquered them. If the map were also at least large and you could freely choose your own faction, that would be ideal.

you perhaps have any suggestions for me, preferably including the source where I can download the map? Thanks in advance.

ich, selbst 60% GdB, habe die letzten 11 Jahre mit einer pflegebedürftigen Angehörigen in einer gemeinsamen Drei-Zimmer-Wohnung gewohnt. Leider hat das Schicksal Anfang des Jahres zugeschlagen. Alleine kann ich die Wohnung jedoch nicht halten. Die Warmmiete übersteigt meine eigene Rente, also muss ich raus. Ende Juli ist hier Schluss.

Nun suche ich schon seit Wochen in vier Städten nach einer kleinen, bezahlbaren Wohnung. Und weil Wohnungen so schon schwer genug zu finden sind macht es meine Schwerbehinderung noch schwieriger. Mangels Mobilität (kein Auto und gehbehindert) brauche ich dringend eine Haltestelle und eine Einkaufsmöglichkeit in der Nähe. Und in der Nähe heisst hier nicht das übliche Vermieter-"fußläufig" sondern tatsächlich maximal 3-4 Minuten Fußweg.

Ich recherchiere mehrmals täglich, schaue nach neuen Anzeigen und vergleiche die Standorte der Wohnungen auf Google Maps mit dem örtlichen ÖPNV und den Einkaufsmöglichkeiten. Das Ding ist jetzt, es gibt solche Wohnungen nur gibt mir niemand einen Chance. Egal wie ausführlich und nett ich meine Situation schildere, spätestens bei 800€ Frührente (plus Grundsicherung) winken alle ab. Da helfen auch meine positive Schufaauskunft und eine Vorvermieterbescheinigung nichts.

Nächste Woche habe ich meinen ersten Besichtigungstermin überhaupt. Ich setze viel darauf, obwohl ich eigentlich keinen Grund zur Hoffnung habe. Meine Frage ist jetzt, nachdem ihr soviel Text durchgehalten habt, würdet ihr der Vertretung des Vermieters vor Ort am Tag der Besichtigung, im Falle einer späteren Zusage, Geld anbieten?
