Who do you listen to for SDA hymns?

Hi everyone, I’m trying to learn the SDA hymns and really need some artists who actually sing them so I can get it right. Just the lyrics and audio aren’t enough for me unfortunately. So, who do you guys listen to? Doesn’t have to be just SDA hymns either, I’d love to find more Christian music!

Thank you all in advance!! ❤️🙏🏻

If anyone needs food…

Hi everyone, I just had a thought about how so many people are hungry and need meals to eat. I go to church on Saturdays at a Seventh Day Adventist Church and every 2 weeks we have something called potluck. People bring food and it’s kind of like a mini buffet. If you are ever hungry and need a meal, I’d recommend checking out your local SDA church to see if potluck is going on. You wouldn’t have to be Christian or anything to go, but just walk in and ask if you can have some. I’ve never had anyone approach my church for this before but I’d hope that they’d receive you with kindness and offer you some food. My church posts on their website under bulletin about announcements and it mentions the potluck dates under local announcements so maybe the other churches do that too.

I hope this helps anyone in need. If it doesn’t, I will pray for you to get what you need.

(I don’t want to force faith on anyone, rather just sharing that with my faith I will pray for you.)

Oh and potluck is during lunch, usually around 1pm!

Lost 50%+ of my hair

Hi everyone, I’m 20f (almost 21) and have been losing hair like crazy for 2 years ish. I’ve done bloodwork time and time again, nothing that would cause this. I’ve taken all sorts of vitamins and no change whatsoever. I’m so self conscious about my hair and it just doesn’t seem to be growing back. I’ve been on spironolactone but I’ve only been on it for a few months and STILL no change. I’ve talked to my doctor and he said I have female hair loss which I knew and he also said that seeing a dermatologist would take months and they would do nothing different than a normal doctor (him). I like him but I just need my hair loss fixed. What works for you? What should I try?

Also I don’t want anything topical as it stresses me out that I will get hair everywhere else plus I suck at consistency. I’m always good at taking my meds though so I was wondering if anything like that exists and how it works for you.

OH and the hair loss is my whole head, not patches and I’m not bald but I won’t be surprised if I do become bald because of how much hair I’m losing. It’s honestly more like 70% I’ve lost.

How inaccurate is The Chosen to the Bible?

My question is the title. I was wondering how inaccurate The Chosen is because I want to watch it but I don’t want to be misled.

Edit: thank you guys for all the comments! I really appreciate it.

Money Gifts

Hi guys, I was wondering if I have to worry about ODSP taking away my ODSP or charging me money because of money gifts I’ve gotten in the past for birthdays or GST cheques or a $ amount from an award from school. Taxes and similar stuff confuse me immensely so I was wondering if I’d have any issues with this with ODSP.

Where to learn about ODSP

Hi everyone, I’m 20f almost 21 and I have the board and lodge ODSP. I live with my mom and siblings and I’ve been told/found out that my mom gets ALL the ODSP money except for the $71 for other necessities outside of housing and food. Is this correct? Along that note, is there somewhere that I can find out more about ODSP specifics because when I went on their website it didn’t give much info at all. Thanks in advance!

Can I just focus on walking?

Hi everyone, I’m 20f, 5 foot 6 1/2 inches and 222lbs. When I was 10 I got diagnosed with severe OCD and since then I’ve been mostly bedridden or sedentary because of it. Im just CONSTANTLY in bed. I’m a lot better now but it still controls my life for the most part, especially at home. I struggle with boredom eating and a sugar addiction I think. I also deal with anxiety and hopelessness when it comes to losing the weight. I’m horrible at consistency and tracking calories stresses me out so much that I just give up. Now I know that is important, dieting, changing what you eat and I totally want to but since I lack so much muscle and stamina I was wondering if walking is ok to just start with? Changing my eating also isn’t very easy because I don’t cook and “can’t” because of my OCD. But I’m not picky with most of what I eat, I like veggies and fruit and all that. Anyways, could you guys give me some tips or something regarding your weight loss journey and maybe specifically walking? Thanks in advance!
