The first of seven exceptional 1998 Libertads from a meticulously curated die chip collection. Each coin is distinguished by its own unique die chip, natural toning, and beautifully preserved original patina, creating seven unmistakably individual pieces with outstanding eye appeal.

Years of dedicated searching went into assembling this collection, with a focus on originality, eye appeal, and individuality. Bringing together seven examples of this caliber was a true collector's pursuit, resulting in a group that celebrates both the artistry of natural toning and the subtle mint-made characteristics that make each coin one of a kind.

PCGS Talk ….. been a crazy year boys and girls seeing this market take its turn . It’s well deserved for the Mexican coin market as a whole. Hype comes and goes , but real collectors read the papers and see the numbers . Libs are here to stay ( market is no where near “ topped “ - this does not exist in an extremely limited category with supplies that can’t be re - manufactured - hype last in markets where supply chains can print unlimited levels of supply) - reason I mentioned this because I was in a few chat rooms specifically today and many people panicking seeing tons of 25 kilos pop up for cheap prices and some other size pieces all of a sudden in the last few days ) - these are people who simply are preparing and liquidating for the new year drop. Long story short - I have submitted a full year run proof set all that have all been kept capsulated from mint . This is the first two that have came back . Pretty solid . PCGS has been much more fair to the libertad market in general compared to before. Im sure it’s because they want more collectors , rare varieties etc in their registries finally , after realizing how hot it’s been. At the end of the day , everyone has their favorite grading company , slab etc but when it comes down to it , PCGS is where the true value of coins lie , again - that’s just my personal opinion . Theres a reason why NGC currently has a much longer wait time compared to pcgs , simply because they’re slammed with coins to grade and trying to pump out as many as possible. It’s extremely interesting to do R&D between the two . I’ve spent thousands of dollars , cross grading , testing the same coins between the two just for R&D purposes and it’s quite interesting to see how it’s done. I’ll be sharing a lot more studies on grading here in the near future once I dial in my thesis’s and once I have some true spare time. It’s definitely been a journey and a very fun one. Libertads in particular gave me a real life hobby that changed my life and gave my the ability to get grounded during tough times , rather then focus on nonsense , hence why I’ll always respect the coin and show the market my dues where and when it’s needed . In the meantime , I’ll be sharing this full proof set as they come back ( split up into multiple submissions ) and it’s going to be a fun journey seeing how these proofs come back. Also if anyone loves Gorditas , especially toners slabbed up in gold shields , just get ready what’s about to be shared ! Straight monster bangers 🔥
