Which side of this board is the nose and which is the tail?

I'm used to having a graphic on the grip and not thinking about it and I cannot tell on this board. Is the side with the colored bolts/left end the nose or the tail?

What is the origin of the "doomed amnesiac romance" trope in mecha anime? What series does it best?

I was playing Geppy X and the game contains an homage to this trope that I have seen in more modern series (like Code Geass) and also parodied in an episode of Martian Successor Nadesico that is also doing an homage to 70's super robots. This trope usually has a villainess get amnesia, forget about being evil, and fall in love with someone on the protagonist side. I know the Toei Getter Robo anime has an episode about this (I've only read the Getter manga and seen the OVAs), but based on the parodies and homages this feels like a recurring story arc. Where did this come from? Did it originate in mecha anime at all? Is there a series that does it particularly well or centers around it?

What do I need to change about my front foot to get the full flip rotation?

Yes, I know the pop is bad, but it's hard to focus on both the front and the back at the same time. I can land kickflips holding onto something with little pop and I see others land them with little pop but I feel like I'm doing something wrong with the front foot and flick.

What does this sub think of Witz and Roybea from Gundam X? I never hear them talked about.

These guys are my favorite supporting pilots in Gundam other than Quattro from Zeta and I'd say he's more of the 1B main character in Zeta. They're super cool, they get really good development, and I appreciate they even got an episode fully dedicated to them with no other characters from the main cast showing up.

And yes, Reddit also has a bunch of algorithms, but unlike apps, at least here you can see all posts and this subreddit isn't trying to get money for emotional connection.

Anyways, what makes me a unique potential partner? I am extremely passionate about things, especially my special interests! I am very empathetic and try my best to go above and beyond for other people. I have a very wide variety of hobbies and interests, and I’m always willing to try new hobbies and activities and learn about new things. I’m not afraid to put myself in unfamiliar and potentially uncomfortable situations. I’m very good at leading conversations, and I would like to think I’m very doting and affectionate. Because I’m autistic and have trouble reading other people’s emotions, I make sure to be a very open and clear communicator with my thoughts, feelings, and emotions. I’m not afraid to reject social norms and do my own thing, and one of my best friends called me a “manic pixie dream boy,” so do with that what you will. I’m very patient with others and I’m good at talking with people who are shy and/or nervous. I’m very optimistic and positive! I have been told by my friends I have a good fashion style and I am charismatic, which surprises me to hear, but hey, if enough people tell me it’s probably true, although I’m already unsure if this post is radiating charisma. Also, I can keep stuff clean. Someone once told me this was a skill.

For a bit more about me, my big three special interests I never shut up about are ska, mecha (especially Gundam), and pro wrestling. I love going to ska shows and being in the pit at them. I’m very much a “sensory seeker” type of autistic person. I love anime and manga of all sorts, plus video games (especially JRPGs and esoteric retro stuff), tokusatsu, skateboarding (which I do all the time even though I am bad), playing mahjong, other comics and animation of all sorts, punk, vocaloid, and a fascination with cursed media. I have been studying Japanese since 2020. I am very serious about obtaining fliency. I have gone back to college recently to A) finish and B) study abroad. I have a very silly cat I take care of. It has been suggested to me I am likely ADHD as well, but I cannot 100% guarantee I am although it checks out. I’m 5’ 6” and a vegetarian, although you don’t have to be!

Here are some of my requirements and preferences for a potential partner! I want to be with someone that is also passionate about stuff as well. I infodump constantly and I want someone who is similar. I get really excited in turn when others are passionate about their interests. For example, I know absolutely nothing about rocks, but if someone is really into them and gushes about them to me, I will get fired up about them as well! Please be kind to others. It’s really important for a partner to also be open about communicating, because reading someone else is something I unfortunately can’t do. I am monogamous. I need to be with someone who is also a leftist politically and isn’t racist, homophobic, transphobic, etc. I strongly dislike traditional gender roles. A have a couple of preferences, but they are totally optional! I have a very strong preference for someone who is also autistic and/or ND, because I generally click with fellow ND folks much better and I feel like we’re on the same “wavelength” and can understand one another, but if you think we’d match well and are open to dating an autistic fellow, that’s totally okay. I also really like plus size/chubby/etc. body types.

If you have any questions/clarifications, I am an open book! If you think we’d click, I hope to hear from you soon!

I finally got the board to flip primo while keeping my feet over it. What am I doing wrong?

Sorry for the silly watermark!

Can someone help me land a kickflip? I can do it holding a rail but feel lost when I'm on flat ground.

The first clip is with the rail. The problem is the rail holds a lot of my body weight and I can't get over the board when on flat. I can only flop the board over if I plant my back foot immediately to balance on, and when I try both feet, I cannot flick to the side for the life of me and just do a bad ollie and I'm not sure how to find my balance and actually find the spot even though it feels like I'm trying. Yes, I know the pop is bad, but I'm more concerned with the motion, getting over the board, and flipping it primo and fixing that gradually. Also, there is a random 50/50 at the end for the inevitable "Can you even ollie?" comments.
