Better rear end setup on a 2025 Tremor for towing advice needed

Yeah yeah, I know shoulda gotz an F250 at least ( but "Mikey likely "this truck). Towing a large "teardrop" 2330 lbs dry, 4200 GVW- has a 43 gal fresh water tank over the axle ( wet bath in rear, brother. Take girlfriend along- clean sex, eh). Tows ok but little more bouncy than I like.

Well Ya'all failed to talk me out of a Tremor

New 2025, great deal on it! And I am keeping my Mazda 2025 Sig Turbo. Could it get any better? I think I'm going to buy a Bruder XP 4 trailer and go to Alaska next Summer. Shit, that trailer will fit thru my 81" garage door.....

Talk me out of a Tremor

Like to drive and ride motorcycles and such, on my 3rd Mazda CX-5 Turbo. It's a great car and I've taken camping on some reasonably shitty roads, but I'd like a 4x4 truck, again. No financial burden, Old Fat White Guy comes into some $$ late in life. Use case: recreational, middlin' intense off road; tow an offroad trailer or maybe a hard side popup camper, occasional dump run/ haul some lumber and shit for a project. Some long distance highway miles, but likely put 15k miles or so per year on it. New 2025 or 2026. Fire away, kids......

(edit P.S. lots commentary, which is good. Seems close to 50/50- 50% get it love mine/ 50% Cos play off road, get a Raptor, a KR, XLT, Lariat, etc. Like the Lariat, but every one in stock close to me is PB 3.7L. Not sure I want a Hybrid. Edmunds customer review comments have a fair amount of " jeezbus , what a piece of electronic malfunctioning junk" which is a bit concerning; albeit, virtually all new rigs are really overloaded electronic Nanny stuff nowadays, eh. Roll of the dice....)

Arizona White Mts Campout 7/22/2026-7/26/2026

Try this again, eh. Went camping up in the White Mts up by Alpine, AZ. Around 8000 + elevation. Stayed in the Horse Springs campground in the East Fork recreation area ( one of the forks of the Black River, it would be a creek in Idaho where I used to live and work for USFS doing Stage 1 and firefighting).

Stage 1 fire restrictions , campfires only in provided fire rings, camping only in permitted areas. Lot's of very cool places to disperse camp outside of the area, but I wanted to have a real campfire, eh. Maybe this Fall I'll go back up and do a dispersed site. There are a bunch of spread out campgrounds, Horse Springs is of the better ones along the River (creek). $26 a night, not cheap for nothing but non-potable water and vault toilets.

Turned some heads getting firewood with my cargo carrier ( truck? we don't need no stinking truck). My folding fat tire ebike did well and my little 40v chainsaw sufficed, but ran neither enuff to start the Honda to charge.

Weather was low 80's for highs and low 50's for lows, very nice since it's been running around 110 for highs down in the Valley of the Sun where I live. Light sprinkles Wensday and Thursday, high winds Thursday and Friday when I left, Stage 2 fire restrictions started on Thursday morning- no campfires ( those propane fire rings come in handy when that happens).

It was a good campout!

The Direct To Consumer Experience

Wanted a folder, looked/test rode a Heybike Ranger Pro and Velotric Fold 1 Plus at a bike shop. Liked 'em both but slight preference for the Heybike, felt a tad more stable and plush. But Heybike's shitty CS rep, hmmm. Came across this critter on Fakebook and that Venice Hippie dude's review. Decided to go for it, $500 less than the other two from the shop with the tax. And noticeably more torque , easily charges up a 30+ % wet grass slope from a dead stop on throttle alone.

3 days from ordering to my door. Setup was a snap, the app let me program the PAS levels and leave the throttle independent; albeit, won't let you go past 28 mph on the PAS or throttle. The suspension feels good over rougher terrain, the brakes are solid. Motor is a bit loud, some Baifang clone. Everything was advertised to be "name brand"- no lie, everything is branded with a name even if I haven't heard of those names before aside from Shimano. So far so good!
