Are grenades, bombs and missiles inefficient?
Slugthrowers aren't commonly used in the Star Wars galaxy, mainly due to having much less ammo capacity when compared to blasters. They aren't significantly more powerful than blasters, and there is no real significant upside to them which balances out the ammo issue.
However, doesn't this extend to things like grenades and rocket launchers? If a blaster power pack holds enough energy to produce 10x as many shots as a real life magazine, shouldn't a hand grenade do the same? If they are, then why aren't slugthrowers and other solid projectile launchers much more common and powerful?
