Before the market opens…

Good morning / good evening everyone, wherever you’re breathing on this fine blue planet.

Trend-wise, it looks like we’ve rolled over on the daily after losing $7.70 and printing that lower low around $6.40. We’re sitting below the cloud and key averages now, so momentum is still leaning bearish for the time being.

Levels I’m watching: $6.25 below, then $5.20 if things keep bleeding. On the upside, $7.25–$7.30 is the line in the sand.

Feels like a “sell the rips, not buy the dips” kind of market right now. Still holding long-term conviction like most of you, just waiting for the chart to start respecting buyers again.

[Halton/GTA, ON][H]PayPal, Cash[W]laptop

Starting college soon, and with recent OSAP funding changes, I won’t really continue with my plan to buy a new laptop at the beginning of school.

WTB a laptop under $250 CAD

Open to:
ThinkPads (preferred)
Other similar reliable options
Nothing fancy needed

just something fairly modern:
Intel 8th gen or newer (or equivalent Ryzen)
16GB RAM
SSD storage
Decent screen and battery life

It’ll mainly be used for schoolwork

Can meet anywhere in the GTA within reasonable distance, otherwise I’m fine with shipping + PayPal Goods & Services.

is this on the lower or higher end?

Hey everyone,

I'm just wondering if my OSAP estimate is considered low, average, or high compared to what most people get.

Here's my estimate for Year 1 Electrical Engineering Technician at Sheridan (Sept 2026 - Apr 2027):

  • Grant: $5,400
  • Loan: $13,100
  • Total OSAP: $18,500

A bit about my situation:

  • I rent my own bedroom (not living with my parents).
  • I'll be commuting to Sheridan (35km each way) every day.
  • This is for a full-time program.

My friend who is in similar living situation is getting more than this amount. I just wanna hear everyone's opinion, and see if I should apply for a review.

fuse, electrical issue

I have a 2012 Mazda 3 Skyactiv. The car has been great overall, but I’ve recently run into a strange issue.

A while ago, it started having trouble starting out of nowhere. When it did start, the power steering would cut in and out randomly. I stopped driving it and ended up replacing the battery, which fixed those issues completely.

However, a new problem showed up after that. Right now, the steering wheel controls seem to have no power at all. I’m not talking about the power steering itself, that works fine. The issue is that there’s a flashing airbag light on the dash, horn, and all steering wheel buttons (including cruise control) don’t work at all and don’t light up either.

I’m not sure if this is related to the old bad battery or something that got affected during all of this. A blown fuse maybe?

Where should I start looking? I’d really like to fix this myself if possible since I’m not in a position to spend a lot at a mechanic right now.

Any help or direction would be appreciated.
