I decided to dig the Duro out of the box and change it up a bit. Ive had the Barton strap on it for a while which i really like but i wanted to go back to a bracelet however the factory Casio bracelet is atrocious. After looking around i decided to bite the bullet and get the islander as it looked like it could be oem especially with the solid end links. So far no regrets!! The bracelet is EXTREMELY comfortable and was easy to size. Well worth every penny imo.

I just bought my first Longines. I was looking for a casual watch with a lighter colored dial for summer so i got the white/silver dial Conquest VHP and so far i love it. Im sure ill get the usual anti quartz haters saying i should have got an automatic but i have plenty of other auto watches. I bought the VHP on purpose because of its unique movement. Watching the hands move and the date set after being in the power saving mode was like magic!

I also really like the dial with the concentric circles, the numbers on the chapter ring and the fact that the only Arabic numerals are 12 and 6. Having the 9 without the 3 drives me crazy. I also love that the second hand hits all the indices perfectly, as a quartz should.

The bracelet is comfortable even though im not a fan of butterfly clasps , at least it had half links however i was a little disappointed that it had push pins instead of screws.

I dont mind the 50m water resistance as i dont wear my watches in the pool or shower. I was able to pick it up brand new (NOS) on Joma for less than half of retail which i think is a screaming good deal for a quality well made watch. This may be my first but im sure it wont be the last.

Ive been wanting a Hamilton Murph for a while but the lack of AR coating and the price were a huge turn off. I ran across a deal on this Militado ML08 homage so i picked it up and I'm actually pleasantly surprised. The quality is better than i expected and the look is close enough that i dont even feel the need for a murph anymore, idc if its a quartz. This is my second Militado and i think the bracelets are better than my Watchdives. Ill probably pick up the version with the 556A dial homage next.
