I adopted a Husky 2 days ago. She has feathers in her peets!
Floating the idea of a For Sale megathread.
I'm asking for opinions and feedback on the idea of a single megathread for selling parts and trucks. There would be a required format, including price, application, and location. No "feeler" or "what's it worth" posts. Post deletion after sale would be mandatory, and possibly anything older than a few months subject to mod deletion to keep the thread relevant.
Meet the new family member!
This is (for now) Raven. I first met her last month when she was roaming the neighborhood. I opened my garage door to take out the trash and she came wandering in. Turned out she belonged to an older woman that lived in the apartments across the street and had gotten loose while on a walk.
I became friendly with the woman after returning the dog. I offered my back yard if she wanted to let her run, and to play with my pibble. The two dogs had a play date and got along great.
Fast forward a couple of weeks to today. I got a text from the neighbor woman asking if I would be interested in taking Raven. She was concerned about the rising cost of food, and she has macular degeneration and is slowly losing her eyesight. She felt I would be a good fit since I loved animals so much and had already formed a bond with the dog. And she felt that it would be better for Raven to have kids, other animals, and a yard to play in and with.
So after a few hours of consideration I accepted and brought Raven home. She immediately got the zoomies when she ran out the back door, with my normally calm pibble hot on her heels. Emma (pittie) is happy to have a new friend to chase around the yard. The 3 cats aren't thrilled, but 1 of them is coming around already. All 3 cats were raised with dogs, so eventually everyone will be fine.
Raven is 3yo, but I would have sworn she was only a year from looking at her. So she's probably got a little bit of something in her that keeps her leaner and smaller than one would expect. She's absolutely gorgeous. Mostly house broken, a few "accidents" as she discovered new smells she thinks need covering.
Pic 2 was the day she wandered into my garage and life.
Voodoo loves hanging out on the back of the office chair.
I got a quad dangle out of Voodoo today.
Five if you count his tail.
Emma (p) hasn't been feeling well the last couple of days. Luckily she has a great nurse in her little sister, Lumalee (k).
(Sorry about the loud TV in the background)
Lumalee's irresistible white belly
I MUST rub the belly. Every…single…time.
