X430 wish list

As a tech head/geek that automates a lot of stuff (even that, that should not be automated), I hope you and/or Segway find some of my 6 weeks “ideas” for future updates!

Positioning Quality Heat Map — Log RTK/GNSS quality, dropouts and satellite strength by location and time.
Come to Me / Go to Map Point — Tap anywhere on the map and have the mower navigate there and wait.
Straight Corridor Mode — Follow a channel exactly through difficult hills, gates or gravel without unnecessary replanning/circling.
Multiple Channels to Home — Allow more than one channel to connect directly to the charging station.
Reverse-to-Edge Trim — Reverse the rear cutting deck toward safe edges when the front bumper/vision prevents a close cut.
User Diagnostic Log — Show RTK loss, traction events, camera warnings, obstacle detections and route recovery events.
Alternate Border Direction — Reverse perimeter mowing direction on alternate cuts so corners and awkward edges get approached from both directions.
Straight Back-Out Option — Let the mower reverse straight out of Home or a tight channel endpoint before turning.
Synchronized Mowing Patterns — Let multiple nearby lawn zones use the same stripe angle/pattern on the same day so they visually match.
Mark no go zones in the app only!
There are areas where I don’t want the mower to go but I can’t map a full closed
Loop (wall and pool) ! Unless there’s another way? I

Bermuda, GA. How many times a week you cut?

It’s getting dormant now of course but what schedule do you use and how to you manage irrigation days/cutting days? I don’t pay for water as it comes from ponds!

Also, what height have you found preferable to keep it green but short! I prefer short and why I brought a robot!

X430 newbie here and loving it.

Navimo x430 - separate power for Antenna question

I’m trying to resolve conflicting Segway documentation.

The current X4 manual lists the “Power Supply Adapter for Antenna” and says it is for installing the antenna far away from the charging station. Segway’s US store also lists the adapter as X4 compatible and says the same thing.

However, an X4 FAQ dated Jan 30, 2026 says: “The Primary Antenna must always remain connected to the charging station.”
Has anyone with an X430 actually run the included Primary Antenna from Segway’s separate antenna power adapter, with no physical cable between the antenna and charging station, while using Local RTK?

I’m specifically asking about the Primary Antenna, not the optional Signal Enhancement Antenna.

If yes, did it pair/operate normally and preserve your existing NRTK maps when you switched to Local RTK?

After research, Navimow x430 seems the winner?

Now, as grass grows dormant, and I’ll fire my lawn guys, when is the best time to buy and setup ready for the next seasons grass?

I will to also need the gate unless I build one because my little Westie will get out otherwise! Front and back fenced apart. Thoughts on the gate. Seems expensive!

Lastly, likely winter deals? Or just wait closer in case Segway brings out a new generation! I’m a techie so like staying current(ish)!

It’ll park itself under my covered decking!

NCL v RCCL Casino

Got great status on RCCL and zip on NCL but traveling Haven on Prima next month. I get tons of free offers from RCCL now from Casino. Has anyone got NCL to recognize same status and start getting similar offers?

Just curious. I assume NCL won’t match my Diamond Plus status so just asking about casino offers.

Prima cruise Haven!

We are Diamond Plus after many many RCCL cruises but taking an NCL cruise out of Orlando next month!

Notice the WiFi is limited to 150 mins so will need to get full WiFi for wife and I. Noticed a $490 upgrade to Open Bar Package, WiFi etc which worked out will pay for itself for our usage likelihood . Can I use the $500 OBC once on board to pay for the upgrade? If I buy the upgrade before departure I don’t think OBC can apply but is the same offer available of first sailing day?

Also, what differences do you notice between NCL and RCCL suite class.

Lastly, any dark star gazing spots on Prima?

Cheers

Sous vide food eaten cold?

Can you eat sous vide food like chicken or steak, cold later. I ask because I keep reading you should bring back meats to sous vide temp first! Is this a myth of just if you want to repeat the same experience as when removed from bath!

World Cup recording FAILS

I’m a techie and I can’t figure out how to record all games! I knew, it’s intuitive enough to offer it but it never works!

It wants to record 4K so I can’t watch on other tvs and even then, some games are just not even being recorded so I’m joining late!!

I loved Directtv but this is a UX nightmare… how hard can this be if you have the top
Tier and unlimited recording..

Edit: ok I found the recordings though it’s not following standard way directtv recordings are viewed and still limited to watching on 4K tvs or mobiles!

Edit 2: and twice now, recording stopped before game over FFS!! What a mess!!!

New buyer here (tech background)

I have a Saros 10R in my home, love it.

I live on about an acre but grass is probably just about 9000 sq feet divided equally front and back (I know I will need a dog proof ramp through aluminum fence for robot to traverse between front and back up a slight incline, over pine straw! I’ll figure that out or temporarily move manually until resolved. It can park itself at back under dry covered deck.

I love tech and whilst I don’t want to overpay too much, I will pay more and want something smart, cool and reasonably going to be future proofed. Grass doesn’t grow in winter but grows like sunflowers in summmer!! I dream I Want to keep it like the fairways on the golf course across the street that now use robomowers every night!

Thoughts on where to start. No in ground wires. And there are concrete paths to cross out front and pine straw edges to shrubs and plants within the grass areas too.

Where do I start?
