I did a dumb rant post today here about the adaptation of Emma today.

Some of you had the idea that I'm slut shaming Emma or overall women who have a high body count. I'm sorry I never meant that at all and I think I did a bad thing trying to explain my argument

I was just very angry at the show and how they are handling the Emma arc past Genosha

I love Emma and I love this community and I'm sorry if my post pissed off some people

But still, the show especially episode 2 sucked

This is my rant on the fourth issue, sorry if it's late but I was so frustrated to even try to talk about it

What exactly is Eve doing? Why tease Lourdes and get us all excited to completely retcon her relationship with Emma? I'm one of the few people that absolutely love Lourdes and consider her one of my favourite mutants and wishing for the day that she becomes more of an established character and this writing is doing her no favour at all !!

What a stupid way to start a conflict between characters ( which is a theme in this book overall lol ) . And having Lourdes compare Emma to Shaw ... The man that abused them both is just genuinely disgusting

Also for her being labelled as the new mutant leader and the entire marketing of the book being about her new new role, Emma has done nothing interesting or worth remembering in these four issues, in fact apart from defeating Quentin looks like Eve is still doing this horrible habit of severely nerfing Emma to boost up other characters

The moment of her showing concern with Rogue was nice , her moment with Scott although rushed but still nice . But that's the problem, for every nice moment there is an interaction or a moment that makes me want to tear my eyes out in every issue of this damn book

I'm dropping the book overall, it's not worth it at all and it won't change anything and most likely won't matter after it's finished like most books in this era . I'm glad it's ending in issue ten , I want Emma to finally leave Eve's writing and join a team or overall be with another writers . I liked Exceptional Emma but Eve's writing in United for her is abysmal

I'm going back to rereading Decimation or Krakoa ... You know eras where Emma is actually respected.

In season 1 Emma's VA was Martha Marion and imo she did really good with the two lines they've given her lol

But looks like Zehra is the VA going forward, I don't know all her roles tbh but I am familiar with her as she was the voice actress of Kayle from League of Legends and that makes me hopeful because her line delivery on Kayle was on point.

That being said I'm a little bummed out they didn't get Laura Post ( MR VA ) because imo she became THE definitive Emma voice for me. Regardless I hope Zehra crushes it with more screen time for the Queen

A really fun issue and story so far . Loved seeing Emma interact with more characters outside the X-Men, and really shows how far she has changed and grew for someone like Carol to trust her fully with her memories.

I'm trying to learn Magik because of two reasons, the new skin is a banger and I've already bought and Magik is my third favourite X lady which brings me incredible shame that I haven't learned her yet after a year and a half with this game

I'm a flex player, I can play all three roles and I have multiple lords in every role. But I melee/dive is not my style unfortunately, I play Rogue and Psylocke as the only " dive " heroes I play but I don't think they are close to Magik

I totally suck at her and that's expected tbh , so I really need your help with tips , play style, educational videos

I don't struggle with target priority and enemy cooldown management because I know how to play many characters. What I struggle most with Illyana is the one shot combo ( if there is any ) and the ult and that I die a lot

If they are as good as the HFG skin I would be really happy
