Did anyone hear loud noises last night, near Bleakhall/Oldbrook?

Around 2:30am, woke up from the noise, the sound was like the aftermath of fireworks, really loud crackling sounds, I woke up just after 2:30 because of it! This morning the outside smells like electrical fire..?

Well, someone up there likes me

Talk about a morning wake up call. I've just dropped the missus off to work so I've nipped into Lidl with my son since he loves the morning routine of picking a pastry as a treat.

Driving back through Newport Pagnel, all of a sudden, chaos right in front of me. I still haven't been able to process the sheer carnage of watching a car lose control THAT hard, smashing through a wall and bouncing back.

Services were on the scene pretty quick but just makes me think, if I ignored the 20mph signs and went slightly faster or didn't give way to a car earlier, I would have prob absorbed virtually all of that carnage.

EDIT thanks to a Redditor: This is what happened, the drivers car had just been clipped by a hearse and driver was shaken, went to maneuver and hit the wrong pedal. Driver was OK. Nobody else involved.

L'oreal have discontinued the Dream Lengths Curls range?

I cannot find it anywhere in the UK, I've seen they have rebranded their dream legnths standard conditioner but no sign of their curl range that had the blue branding for this line!

does anyone know if its just a rebranding or if it has gone, gone?! :(

I loved this range, and I can't use their standard one as its loaded with proteins and makes my hair snap.

They did this years ago with their 'low shampoo' series which I have never yet achieved the same hair I had when that line was available. barely forgiven them for that! </3

Could I do my own accounts or is that a silly idea..?

Hi All,

I am in the direction of setting my self up as a limited company to provide service for projects that I work on (previously PAYE but the work is freelance).

My turnover will be around £95,000 per year + VAT (appox £114,000.00)

My expenses will also be limited, I believe I am able to claim mileage due to temporary work place for under two years and I plan to direct about £8-10,000 per year into pension - with this I have decided against flat rate scheme also.

With this in mind, does it seem palable that I could probaby do my own accounts?

I am more looking to see is this is as viable as I think it is, or if I am missing a huge piece of the cake!

From my understanding this would be what i would have to do

Quaterly VAT returns

End of year accounts (within 9 months of my companies year end) via CT600 (also I believe I can claim for marginal relief on corp tax)

FRS 102 - still getting to grip with this (any insight would be great)

End of year self assessment - as I will pay my self £12570 salary and divdends (do I also pay expneses?)

If anyone has any advice or links that could help me look into that would be great, I work in the finance sector but not this particular area, hence why I'm wondering if I could take a jab at it - Thanks in advance.

I keep hiding 'Instants'

Hi all,

I keep hiding instants from the content preferences page, yet everytime I close the app and go back on they are back, and the setting has been reverted,

Am I doing anything wrong or is there another setting somewhere? I also keep getting non stop notifactions to say people have posted instants, most annoying update yet!

Well...I knew my stress levels were high, and its one of the reasons I bought the Oura ring in the first place. But wow, this week has really opened my eyes about it.

Oura is good for signalling this, and has reaffirmed me, which weirdly has been a nice feeling!

Does anyone know how the ring tracks this and what exaclty it is measuring?

Also, I am open to advice on how you lower stress levels, I am worried my cortisol is high etc!

Gosh I do love this ring so far, nearly 2 weeks in!
