My fertility clinic wants to do either a iui or medicated timed intercourse. But they are suggesting more of iui but letting me decide about a mediated timed cycle first

She mentioned using clomid and possibly a trigger shot. I’ve heard bad things about clomid. Should I ask for letrozole? I’m just nervous about taking medications but I also know she’s the expert lol. Any suggestions? Try the clomid and see what happens or ask about trying letrozole first? I’m

Sorry I’m just overwhelmed and don’t wanna make the wrong decisions. I’m the type to research everything then reading bad clomid stories scare me. Any advice suggestions would be great 🥲 I know every body reacts differently and I won’t know until I take it

I need to vent and maybe get others opinions. My husband and I have been TTC for some years now and found out my husband was infertile from TRT.. he got on medication and stuff last May. By October he had sperm.

My “bestfriend” knew ALL about this process. Knew we were seeing a fertility clinic for the past year, knew my husband was on injections 5x a week, knew that I was tracking ovulation, knew that I was taking vitamins, knew my husbands sperm analysis, etc. A VERY CLEAR knowledge that we are trying to have a baby.

WELL, in the beginning of the year she asked what vitamins my husband was taking because her husband had a bad analysis. I sent the ones and guess what? 3 months later, she’s pregnant. I’ve been sent her line progression, things about her morning sickness, tiredness, and just last week ultrasounds.

Today, I shared with her that we are moving into a medicated and monitored cycle and that they said about the risk of multiples and about how my husband lowkey got excited for twins. HERES THE PROBLEM, her response was “are you guys trying to have a baby or what’s the plan?”

Clomid VS letrozole question.

I had an appointment with the fertility clinic today.
I have a few questions and honestly, I don’t have anyone to talk to about our fertility journey or anyone I can talk to that’s been through similar.

Back story: We have been trying to concieve 2+ years. Found out a year ago my husband had male infertility due to TRT. In October, he had a normal analysis. He’s continued the meds that the fertility clinic put him on.

My cycles vary- 28-45 days. I think I ovulate because of my LH tests and my temps. Today appointment with the fertility clinic. She wants to do a monitored cycle and recommended taking clomid or letrozole for my regular cycles and possibly a trigger shot?

Which med would you recommend? And why? Thanks in advance 💗

Been TTC a few years now. Dealt with male factor and my husband has been taking medication for a year now. He had a good sperm count last analysis.

I ovulate between cd 15 and cd 25. I get a positive opk and temp rise. Then my period shows up 14dpo.

I have an appointment next week because it’s been 8 months of him having a good analysis. I’ve done labs, ultrasounds, HSG, saline ultrasound and everything looks good on my part.

I’m CD1 today. My bestfriend asked me in the beginning of the year what we were doing to conceive, I told her and guess what? She’s pregnant. Im happy for her, but im obviously jealous. Now I hear about the tiredness, morning sickness, was sent all her line progression, and now today, ultrasounds.

It hurts. Infertility hurts. BFN every month hurts. I try to be strong every month and say “next month will be my month” but I’ve been saying that for over 3 years.

So my husband has been on medication for sperm count (he’s on TRT- long term, added in HCG and FSH exactly a year ago)

In October he finally had a normal sperm count, morphology was lower so we added in vitamins.

Fast forward to now, we still have not had any success. Is there anything I should be asking my fertility clinic?

My periods are irregular (still though between 28-40 day cycles), I do have a peak opk and I have a temp shift after. I’m not sure if we should try for a few more months since technically he’s only been “fertile” since October.

I had blood work and HSG/sono last year. Everything came back normal and I’m lost at if we should continue naturally, see if there’s any medications, or go on to different routes.
