This is why I'm Mutha's favorite.

Last year, I was having a stressful day. Stopped in for the first time. I shared briefly when they asked me how I was doing. The baristas went out of their way to give me free drugs (kidding->CBD). I've gone consistently since, and the experience has been annoyingly good.

You know when the team and vibe are so outstanding that you're like... "Omg... Enough already. Take my money. I get it." From the dog wall, to the pick up window, to the ongoing donation requests for the homeless, to the NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE for milk. Leadership and staff communicate consistently: "We see you. We're real. We want you here."

Plus: The baristas are cool, kind, and SUPER SMART. SMH. I'm legit annoyed that I'm fangirling over this freakin' cafe.

I should have known that this is "the spot" when trans and nonbinary folx were visibly and consistently present. I mean, I'm pretty dramatic, but the place has felt so sacred that I will get up if I'm in a regular's seat.

Yovanna was the ONLY reason why the Snake Gate season was worth watching. Especially because Snake Gate was slop anyway and went on WAY too long.

Even though she isn't really a HW and clearly not connected to the circle at all, she deserves to be on TV for carrying Snake Gate - amongst Nene, Kenya, AND Marlo. That's not easy.

Maybe Traitors? House of Villains? Honestly, I want some kind of "Friend Of" competition show where the one season wonders compete and call the HWs/work with different HWs for support. Kinda like The Apprentice meets Traitors, but dumber/more fun.

I heard some place that Yovanna was "THAT BITCH" in college.

But will she return to become "THAT BITCH" on Bravo once again?

Nene needs to do a RHOA Legacy project. How is the HBIC going to return to a cast that already has a different rhythm? I want her on my screen and in that role. But I don't want everyone to lose their personality by bowing down to Nene. AND I don't want Nene to feel like she has to fight for the top spot.

Nene needs her own show or a legacy project, but I don't think she offers anything to the new dynamic other than nostalgia that doesn't really fit now that the cast is so new.

...Or have her start a new franchise some place else in the country.

That said, though I'm not a ride or die Sheree fan, I wouldn't mind her back.

RHOA fam, I hear you.

Shamea is corny. Cringey. Kooky. Weird. Dorky. A try-hard. Cornball.

BUT THAT'S THE POINT!

She generates a unique feeling. She's the friend in your friend group who you love, but you spend a lot of time side-eyeing because they do too much of nothing. But! They round out your circle.

I get it, because I fall into that role. I'm the corny, tryhard, genuine friend that you make fun of. But that's kind of my role in the group. And that's why I appreciate Shamea. She represents a version of Blackness that we recognize, need, but often gets overlooked for the Porsha's/Angela's/K Michelle's.

She creates a contrast on the cast. She's the equivalent of "Bad, Caucasian Dad Humor". And, I agree, she's more of a "friend of", but IMO she's a "Friend-of-Peach-Holder".

If that makes sense?

Shamea isn't Beyoncé. Or Kelly. Shamea is Michelle. But Michelle can hold her own. (I bet you you know more of Michelle's verses than Kelly's!)

"Friend-of-Peach-Holders" are the HWs that are in the grey area of the group like Shereé or even Cynthia. They're woman who balance out the energy of the cast by offering genuine nothingness or complete delusion that you side-eye (e.g. friendship contract) while being able to hold their own in an argument and carry a bone or two.

All of this to say, Shamea is supposed to be cringey. She's supposed to be corny. Shamea is cringey-corny-white-dad-humor. It's okay for you to judge her. She's supposed to be laughed at. And, I think the producers are doing a really good job of defining her character on the show.

She represents the Michelle in all of us.

Shamea represents the Michelle in YOU.
