What is the best case for these components - I have just upgraded my GPU and my Fractal Meshify C case is too small?
I have decided to bite and upgrade from a 5700XT Red Devil to a 9070XT Red Devil with the rumblings of GPU price increases.
I know I will now need a bigger case.
I don't care for aesthetics in the slightest. All I want from the PC case is something that is designed well functionally and is known for efficient cooling/anti dust. PC will be hidden from view, mostly anyway and is why I don't care for aesthetics.
I have:
- Aorus Master X570
- 5800x3D CPU
- 2 M.2 SSD
- 3 HDD
- Noctua DH-15
- 2 x 32 GB Trident Z NEO RAM
- Corsair RM750x PSU
- Newly upgraded 9070XT Red Devil
Whenever I lock my PC whilst playing CK3 then come back and log in the game kind of freezes?
So when I lock my screen whilst playing CK3 by pressing Windows + L, then log back in my game is frozen.
The thing is the game screen is frozen only, sound plays and it seems that its still functioning as when I press stuff on my keyboard/mouse it makes the appropriate sounds.
Anyone else having the same problem?
Also is there a shortcut on the keyboard I can make use of for quick save so I can boot up exactly where I left off?
I want to build a NAS - Help with picking a reasonably priced MOBO.
I'm upgrading a few parts from my PC and I want to use the old parts to build a NAS. I really don't want to spend much, cheaper the better unless absolutely necessary (don't care about form factor or aesthetics). I intend to have the PC on 24/7 for Jellyfin.
Also, is it still recommended to have a m.2 SSD for the OS?
Parts I have:
CPU - 3700X
GPU - 5700XT Red Devil
RAM - 8x2 (16GB Vengeance Pro)
New PC or upgrade?
For the last year and a half, my PC has just been used to stream Jellyfin.
Prior to that, I used to play a lot of CIV and insane amount of CK3. CK3 started to become really sluggish in load up and especially late game, which eventually caused me to abandon it.
I want to jump back into CK3 and grab all the new DLC however I don't want the same or worse experience.
What should I upgrade? Or am I better off buying a new PC?
I have a budget of £2000 - rather not spend it all if I don't really need to.
I have:
- RX 5700xt 8gb Red Devil
- 16gb(8x2) DDR4 Ram
- AMD Ryzen 3700x CPU
- X570 Aorus Master mobo
- Samsung 2TB M.2 SSD
- Various HDD for Jellyfin
Cex Warranty vs New elsewhere (Ps Portal)
I want to get a PS Portal, but most places have a 1 - 2 year warranty/ guarantee. However, I noticed CEX does a 5-year warranty.
Has me wondering, then is it just better to get it from CEX? How robust is their warranty for things like stick drift or unusually short battery hold, ect, or other potential issues.
Don't see a reason getting it brand new if Cexs cover is longer, just as good and can potentially cover multiple claims for genuine issues.
Ready to get into Savage Sword of Conan. What are the must read omnibuses?
I don't want to have and read them all unless we're saying they're all absolutely worth it. Rather, I just have the best reads similar to how the 1st 4 volumes of Conan the Barbarian are worth it the most and the rest can be skipped.
Omnibus repair update - turned out great.
Book repair worked like a charm. Clamps might be overkill like so many pointed out, but its worked for me, so going to stick to using them for any future use cases. Don't have any before pictures, but I can say the ribbon was completely detached from 2/3s of the spine before this.
My 1st attempt at a omni repair - wish me luck!
Bought Spider-Man by Nick Spencer Vol 1 & 2 a little while back, Vol. 2 was detaching from the ribbon, so I finally picked up some bits to get it sorted.
Any good Star Wars Omnis or OHC covering between episodes 2 & 3?
