Recommendations for Current artists that sound like 60s/70s artists

Are there any young, currently active groups that have a late 60s-70s rock sound? Specifically I want something that doesn't feel overly produced and the vocals are less polished. Most current music just feels overly cleaned up to me. I'd also love to hear artists that are still doing interesting things within the genre (i.e complex instrumentation, songs with interesting themes and lyrics, types of instruments used). Favorite artists from the 60s/70s for general reference of taste are: (late) Beatles, The Kinks (but moreso Village Green or Low Budget than their most popular stuff), Jethro Tull, The Who (especially Quadrophenia), Rush, Uriah Heep, Grateful Dead, Crosby, Stills, and Nash. Thanks for any recommendations! (Edited to fix formatting issue, sorry I'm on mobile)

LDS and an IUD

Does anyone in this group have any experience with an IUD? I want to switch off my birth control to something non-hormonal, but I have a friend with a different connective tissue disorder (undiagnosed, but all the obvious symptoms) who has had hers fall out twice! She was also using a diva cup with it so that may have contributed, but I would be curious if anyone has experience with both. Any information would be greatly appreciated!

Wow reddit is fatphobic

I've been using reddit more recently so I decided to follow some fat positive subreddits and curate my feed (something I do on all socials) and when I searched "fat positive" communities the FIRST one that came up was a subreddit dedicated to people posting pictures of themselves so people can tell them whether or not they're fat. Below that were a couple of actually fat positive subreddits, that had very little activity, and then "fat logic" which is just an actively fatphobic subreddit. Then it showed me a bunch of "hot take" threads that were the same "hot take" that actually fat acceptance is bad and these people should just lose weight (which, not a hot take, that's literally what society is set up to encourage). It's infuriating that on a mission to keep my feed from showing me fatphobic shit, I was shown more fatphobia than I've seen in months. It's infuriating to see these so-called intellectuals parrot the same literal propaganda from the diet industry that has been ingrained in all of us and act like they're spreading some deep truths. I am, at this point, very educated on the nuances of nutrition and exercise and how those things affect (or don't affect) weight. I am also very educated on the history of fatphobia, the way societal fatphobia leads to worse health outcomes for overweight people and how those factors mean our understanding of how fat relates to health is nowhere near as simple as people want to make it seem. I was taught this by my dietician who has a degree in this and yet these assholes are jerking themselves off thinking they're the smart ones because they got their research from elementary school health class and some hot people who think their genetic advantages mean they are the experts on nutrition. For a site so dedicated to discussion and spreading knowledge, I am shocked to see the fat discourse on here hasn't evolved past the fatphobia trends of the 2010s (the stuff that first triggered my ED btw). I am on TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook and on ALL of these sites I had an easier time filling my feed with body positivity (and meta is literally the devil). Idk I just needed to rant about this. Hope you all have lovely days in your beautiful bodies!

Does anyone get itchy/rashy skin when they stand for too long?

This is something that's been happening my whole life, but has started getting worse in recent years. When I stand for even a few minutes my legs start to get itchy and red blotchy patches appear. It used to only happen when I was standing for a long time or if it was really hot out, but now it seems to happen regardless of temperature (though heat does make it worse) and pretty quickly. I've been told it looks like blood pooling, but beyond that every doctor I've asked just responds with "that's weird".

I've never been able to get a good picture of it (my phone camera seems to auto reduce redness so it never looks as bad as it does IRL), but it looks kind of similar to the person's legs in this post

So does anyone else experience anything like this? The best explanation I've found is POTS or MCAS, but I don't seem to have many other symptoms of either of those conditions (at least not ones that couldn't also be explained by LDS). I would like to rule out this just being a loeys dietz thing before going through the trouble of seeking diagnosis for those conditions.

Any advice or thoughts would be greatly appreciated. As I said earlier, this has been getting worse and more uncomfortable over time and I've seen it start to happen higher up on my body too like my arms, chest and even face on a couple of occasions. I'd just really like to know what the heck is going on. I have LDS 4 if that makes any difference!

How the heck am I supposed to get a good night's sleep?

Recently my joint pain has been so bad when I am trying to sleep. I am constantly waking up throughout the night just to readjust. I am a side sleeper and my PT did tell me that sleeping on your back is preferred, but I just can't manage to fall asleep like that (and she said it's more important to find a position you can sleep in than an ideal one). I share the bed with my partner who's sleeping self is very sweet and just wants to cuddle up to me, but that leaves me even less room for my joints. He offered to give me the bed to myself, but after 7+ years together I can't fall asleep without him. The only thing that does help is edibles before bed but that effects sleep quality and typically I don't feel fully rested after that either. Both softer and firmer mattresses have their ups and downs, but either way we don't have the money for a new mattress right now.

I am just already going through an extremely stressful period right now and it's felt like I haven't gotten a full night's sleep in weeks. I am so tired

Any advice would be greatly appreciated

▲ 2 r/MCAS

My whole life I have had this problem where if I stand for too long my legs start to get hot, itchy, and red splotches appear and it gets worse if I go through temperature changes, especially heat. Every doctor I've asked about this has been at a total loss and the only suggestion I've had is heat rash (although it doesn't look like heat rash, more like blood pooling). For a while I just ignored it, but recently it has been getting worse. It's happening within minutes of me standing and it's going further up my legs and to my butt. I've also started to get the red splotches on other parts of my body like my chest, shoulders, arms and face (although they don't hurt or itch as much as they do on my legs). Sometimes my face just gets randomly flush, but I don't feel hot at all. It's really started to affect my quality of life and I'm scared it's just going to get worse and worse if the issue goes unchecked.

All that being said, I don't have any other allergies that I'm aware of. I don't even get bad seasonal allergies most years. I do experience some gastro intestinal symptoms, but nothing that couldn't be attributed to other conditions. I have never had any respiratory issues. As far as I am aware this is the only major symptom I have like this. I have a connective tissue disorder (loeys Dietz Syndrome), but it's rare enough that there's not much research about a connection with MCAS (it is very similar to EDS though)

So is it possible that this is MCAS or is there something else that could explain this? What would I need to do to get concrete answers on this?
