Please help me understand this. I get the humorous tension between Skimmer’s uber-practical, zero-smiles demeanor and Vimes’ casual irreverence, but is there a joke I’m missing here?
Edit: To be clear, I know what "carried away" means. I also know Vimes almost never gets carried away by anything that doesn't involve tracking down the bastards (whoever they may be at the time).
Is it just me, or are they cooperating?
This may be the earliest I’ve started getting ripe figs (about five days ago). I often have to pick them before peak so they don’t ALL get stolen/ruined, but a day in the sun by the window and they turn out all right.
I’m in Norfolk VA for the weekend, and just chose this random coffee shop because it looked cool. Met several crawlers and got a free Enhanced Pet Biscuit! After leaving, I realized I could have signed off with “get out there and swill, swill, swill!”
