I'm a 24M and she's a 22F.

I'm genuinely confused and wanted to see if anyone else has experienced something similar.

I matched with a girl on Hinge and moved to Instagram. We started chatting and organised a date for the following day (Friday).

The date honestly went really well. We went out for dinner in the city, played mini golf, had drinks, and spent several hours together. At the end of the night she initiated a kiss, and we ended up holding hands and kissing while walking to the station. I waited with her until her train arrived, we kissed goodbye, hugged, and both said we'd like to see each other again.

After the date we continued messaging. I thanked her for the night and told her l'd like to see her again. She replied saying she wanted to see me again too and even offered to plan the next date so it wasn't always up to me.

We started organising a second date for Tuesday.
The only complication was that she mentioned she might have a meeting after work that day and needed to check. She told me she'd find out on Monday.

After that, communication suddenly dropped off. I replied to her final message and then sent a message on Tuesday morning asking whether she was still free for the movie so I could book ticket. ' never got a response.

The movie came and went. She remained active on Instagram, posting stories, but never replied. A few days later I sent one final respectful message saying had enjoyed getting to know her, felt there was a genuine connection, and would still be interested in seeing her again if she wanted to reconnect. No pressure, just being honest about how I felt.

I still haven't received a response.

I know nobody here can know what she's thinking, but I'm struggling to understand how someone can go from what felt like a genuinely great first date, talking about a second date, and saying they want to see you again, to complete silence.

Has anyone else experienced this? Did the person ever come back and explain what happened, or was that simply the end of it?
