risk it all and move to NYC?

Hi, I’m 16F and I recently started homeschooling, and lately I’ve been thinking a lot about my future. Am I actually going to college?

Honestly, I really don’t want to. I feel like I’d just be doing school all over again, and I haven’t found anything that I’m interested in enough to spend years studying.

I was watching a podcast with Kid Cudi, and he was talking about how he moved to NYC, followed his dreams, and eventually made it in the music industry. It honestly made me think: what if I took that kind of risk too?

What if I just went for it and tried to figure things out along the way?

I really want to become a music producer. I know I still have a LOT to learn, especially when it comes to production programs and actually developing my skills, but I keep thinking about what would happen if I just committed to music and chased it instead of going to college just because I feel like I’m supposed to.

Obviously, I know it’s not as simple as “just follow your dreams,” and I’m still trying to figure out what the realistic path would look like.

Has anyone here taken a similar path or decided not to go to college to pursue something they really cared about? What advice would you give me?

want to make music and don't know where to start should i go to college for it?

Hi! I’m a 16 F, and I’m homeschooled. I’m hoping to graduate early, and I’ve been thinking a lot about what I want to do after high school.

I’m really in love with music, and my biggest dream is to make music for video games or become a music producer in general. I’m also debating going to college for something related to music production, but honestly, I’m kind of lost on where to even start or what I should be looking into.

My dad actually makes music too. He’s a music producer and makes hip-hop beats, and I’m always asking him if he can teach me. He always says yes, but he tends to forget . His producer name is Pizzagxd if anyone wants to check him out.

I guess I’m just wondering what I should start learning now, especially since I’m 16 and have the opportunity to graduate early. Should I start learning music production on my own? Look into college programs? Learn an instrument or music theory? I’d really appreciate any advice from people who are into music production or have gone to college for it.

Worried about my future

I’m 16 and about to start my junior year and going into homeschool , and honestly I’m stressed you’re probably wondering why. It feels like everyone my age already knows what college they want to go to or what career they want, while I have no idea. I don’t feel like I’m especially good at anything. I think I’d love to be a music producer or maybe own a coffee shop someday, but I’m still figuring it out.
On top of that, I feel like I’ve spent most of my teen years being the quiet, awkward girl who never really had friends. The friendships I did have ended over small arguments. Now I’m realizing I want to enjoy these years before they’re gone instead of constantly worrying about the future. Lately, I’ve even found myself wondering what my purpose is.

Should I go to college? Worried about my future.

I’m an upcoming junior, and I’m homeschooling this year. I feel like there’s so much pressure on me. I feel like I need to put a college degree on my resume or I’ll be miserable. I’m not sure what I want to do. Maybe I want to start a coffee shop or make music. I was even debating being an esthetician, but I’m not sure yet. Can someone please help me?
