How do therapists call clients with an anxiety disorder?
Patients or impatients?
Patients or impatients?
...but nobody catches down?
I'm thinking of which acting program in LA to commit to. I've boiled the choice down to the three places that teach the corresponding technique authentically:
- The Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute
- The Sanford Meisner center
- Stella Adler Academy of Acting
The Lee Strasberg institute turns out to be about 30$/hour, while the Meisner center and the Adler academy are roughly 13$/hour.
Why is there such a huge price difference? Looking at other popular acting classes such as improv at UCB or Playhouse West classes, they are also within the 10-15$/hr range. What's going on with Strasberg?
I've been getting concerned lately by the abundance of various road signs around Pasadena that misspell Caltech, and wanted to bring up this up. Is anyone else infuriated by this?
I'm thinking we could petition to repaint the signs, or just do it ourselves, may be as a Caltech Y volunteer opportunity? Any other ideas?
So every time I mark the email from a newsletter i subscribed for as "Not spam". Gmail tells me marked as not spam and future emails from this sender will not be marked as spam. The next day I find the email from the newsletter in spam. Wtf is wrong with gmail.
I have 2 things I'd like to say - a message to Firefox and a question.
F Firefox
Did anyone figure out how to access history on android Firefox? Like the history in settings does some really fucked up shit which doesn't allow you to view history in chronological order (do Firefox devs know what history is? Like a fucking time line in a chronological order? Once you fuck it up with what u call grouping and your stupid suggestions it's no longer history is it?).
The thing that beats me is that I installed a bunch of extensions that did the Firefox devs job of displaying it properly. Guess what? Android Firefox doesn't give access to history. So I'm gonna end this with the same message I started with. F Firefox.
Not really a question because I know the answer. Just wanted to vent out a little. Ticktick not having the ability to sort tasks by added date is absolute bonkers. I mean the whole point of todo apps is to free your mind from things that are bothering you and if the moment you add them to your app they immediately get lost in the enormous dump that ticktick is - well, that defeats the whole point of this app. This really is a bug and it is ridiculous.
I've been seeing a therapist for a while and I found it really helpful in terms of growth. Due to my insurance I now have to co-pay for the sessions, while until now I was getting them for free.
So I'm wondering if I can keep it free by befriending a bunch of therapists (obviously not my current therapist as that would be unethical), or dating one?
I'm okay with listening to their problems too.
Hi,
Does anyone else have the problem that you don't receive lockscreen notifications until you wake up the screen? Weirdly enough when the phone is charging they appear as they should, but once you unplug it, you have to wake up the screen and only then do they appear.
This is yet the weirdest bug I ever had. When the metronome (I'm using the easy metronome) is set on 2/3 bars and put on anything less than 65 bpm, it just doesn't emit any sound. Even when the app is open. According to chatgpt it's something to do with battery optimization. I switched every possible setting to disable battery optimization and still have no luck. What the actual f.
Hi, as the title says I can't figure out how to get Google tasks to actually notify me when the phone screen is off.
I enabled auto start, disabled power smart consumption (allowing background power usage). The best I could get is for the notifications to show up after I wake the screen.
Anyone else has this issue? Did you come up with a solution? Driving me crazy, this completely defeats the point of a timed notification...
I recently finished reading the Bible and couldn't find the answer to the question that originally prompted me to read it: did Jesus please himself with a classic clenched fist or did he do it through the hole in his hand? Of course I understand that he may have switched the technique occasionally, but are there any records in favor of the latter specifically?
Hi everyone,
I'm a recently admitted CS student. After much consideration my choice essentially boiled down to two main universities: Kim Il Sung university and Caltech. Both are top universities in their countries, especially in CS, so prestige I think is more or less similar.
Here are a few factors to consider
Those are the main factors if I haven't forgotten anything, would love to hear your thoughts and advice on this!
