Venetian Snares style drums/sequencing in VCV?

hello, i'm looking for some tips on making more complex tracks in VCV, mostly inspired by v. snares's Traditional Synthesizer Music. any tips or modules you can suggest?

Longest thing you’ve wrote so far?

what’s your longest stuff you’ve written so far? i’m personally at about 10k words after 7 chapters on my first fic (of original story :0)

non-traumatic system types?

me again! i’ve noticed many of the systems here mentioned some form of traumatic experience as how they met their alters. i’m curious, however, as i noticed a few who mentioned non-traumatic experience. are there non-traumatic ways of forming systems that i’m unaware of?

p.s. i am in no way attempting to call trauma-based systems "invalid". rather, i’m curious about alternative formations.

many thanks ❤️🤖

how do alters "swap"?

as a singlet (gasp noises), i’m confusedly interested about how exactly you know when one alter of yours is talking or fronting. how exactly does it work?

how do y’all get to such high word counts per chapter?

So I’ve been working on a fiction. currently averaging only 1333 words per chap, but i’ve been wanting to write more words per chap. How exactly do you all get along to writing such long chapters? I mean, is it feasible to do 5k words a week? Help appreciated :)

is paulstretch REAL ambient?

i‘ve been wanting to make a sort of paulstretch-based ambient album, but i feel like the final result would be cheating. what’s this sub’s view on paulstretch? is it a good way to make ambient music, or is it just lazy?

i'm assuming im probably breaking rules by posting this, and i apologize in advance. writing has started, however, and i aim to have the first few chapters on AO3 by end of month. art would be nice, but as stated i can't draw and i'm scared to ask for someone's art help because i'm scared it'll be like me using them. my head hurts so much now it's scary

sorry to go on about this, once i get the first bit done and published, i’ll probably post updates if that’s allowed.

btw could also use artist for some bits of art to appear in these chapters? unnecessary but would love if someone said yes…no need to tho

curious

heard quite a bit about these…bit curious. what’s it like being plural? what even IS plural? btw if any of my replies seem rude, that wasn’t the intention, i’m still a bit new to this info…and a "singlet", as you all say
