Solo indie developer here 👋 Just launched my app on Product Hunt, would love your honest feedback and support ❤️

Hey everyone! 👋

I'm a solo indie developer from India, and today is launch day for my app, Mozy: Walk to Unlock Apps. 🚀

I've spent the last few months building something to help people break their doomscrolling habit in a different way.

Instead of simply blocking Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, or other distracting apps, Mozy makes you earn your screen time by walking.

🌱 How it works

  • 🚶 Walk to earn screen time minutes.
  • 🔒 When your earned minutes run out, distracting apps lock automatically.
  • 📱 Want to keep scrolling? Walk a little more.
  • 🌍 Your little companion and world grow as you stay active.

The goal isn't to punish people, it's to replace mindless scrolling with movement.

Today is my Product Hunt launch, and as a solo developer, every single upvote, comment, and piece of feedback genuinely makes a huge difference.

If you think the idea is interesting, I'd be incredibly grateful if you could support it on Product Hunt.

Even if you don't upvote, I'd love to hear what you think about the concept or the product page. Honest feedback is always welcome!

Thank you so much for helping indie makers like me ❤️

I realized every app timer failed for me. so I built something different. 🚶📱

For years, I kept trying screen time apps.

They all failed for the same reason.

"Ignore for 15 minutes."

"Remind me later."

"Disable the blocker."

Two taps... and I was back doomscrolling.

So instead of trying to limit my phone with willpower, I asked myself:

What if I had to earn my screen time instead?

That idea became Mozy.

🚶 How it works

  1. Choose the distracting apps you want to control (Instagram, YouTube, Reddit, TikTok, etc.).
  2. You receive a certain amount of screen time.
  3. When it runs out, those apps lock.
  4. Want more time? Go for a walk.

Your steps become your screen time.

It's a simple idea, but it's been surprisingly effective for me because it replaces "just one more reel" with actual movement.

✅ Free Version

You can use Mozy completely free.

The free version includes:

• Block up to 3 apps
• Full Walk-to-Unlock experience
• Beautiful home screen widget
• Background step tracking
• All the essential features

You don't have to buy anything to see if it works for you.

🚀 Launch Offer

To celebrate the launch, I'm offering Lifetime Premium for just $7.99 (one-time purchase).

This is an early adopter launch price and will increase as more premium features are added.

If you've been thinking about trying a different approach to reducing screen time, now is the best time to grab Lifetime.

I'd genuinely love feedback from this community.

What would you add to an app like this?

Every suggestion helps shape future updates, and I'll be reading every comment.

[Promo][Android] Mozy - Walk to Unlock Apps 🚶 | Free Version Available + Lifetime Premium ($7.99 Launch Price)

Hey everyone! 👋

I'm an indie Android developer, and I'm launching Mozy.

Most app blockers never worked for me because I'd always hit "Ignore" or "15 more minutes." 😅

So I built something different.

🚶 What is Mozy?

Mozy is an app blocker that lets you earn screen time by walking.

Choose the apps that distract you (Instagram, YouTube, Reddit, TikTok, etc.), and once your available time runs out, you'll need to walk to unlock them again.

Instead of relying on willpower, your daily steps become your screen time.

✅ Free Version

You don't need to purchase anything to try it.

The free version includes:

• Block up to 3 apps
• Full Walk to Unlock experience
• Beautiful home screen widget
• Background step tracking
• All essential features needed to build healthier screen habits

🚀 Launch Special

To celebrate the launch, I'm offering Lifetime Premium for just $7.99 (one-time purchase).

This is my early adopter pricing for the initial launch. As Mozy grows and I continue adding new features, the Lifetime price will increase (and may eventually be replaced with subscriptions).

If you've been thinking about trying a digital wellbeing app, now is the best time to grab Lifetime.

[Android] [Free + $7.99 Lifetime Launch Deal] Mozy — Walk to Unlock Apps 🚶 | All Core Features Free • Lifetime Deal (Limited time offer)

Hey everyone! 👋

I'm an indie Android developer and after months of building, Mozy finally launched today.

Like many of you, I realized app timers never worked for me.

I'd simply tap "Ignore", "15 more minutes", or disable them completely.

So I built something different.

🚶 What Mozy does

Instead of limiting screen time...

Mozy makes you earn it.

You choose distracting apps like:

• Instagram
• YouTube
• Reddit
• TikTok
• X
• Facebook

Once your earned time runs out, those apps stay locked until you physically walk.

More walking = more app time.

Instead of fighting your habits with willpower, you replace scrolling with movement.

Why I built it

I wanted something that could help people who constantly tell themselves:

"Just one more reel..."

...and then suddenly it's been an hour.

Mozy turns that hour into steps instead.

It's designed for people trying to:

✅ Reduce doomscrolling
✅ Spend less time on addictive apps
✅ Walk more every day
✅ Build healthier phone habits

💚 Don't want to pay yet?
No worries! Mozy is completely free to try. All the essential features, including blocking up to 3 apps, the beautiful home screen widget, step tracking, and the core "Walk to Unlock" experience, are available in the free version. The Lifetime purchase simply unlocks advanced features and supports future development.

🎉 Launch Offer

To celebrate the launch, I'm offering:

Lifetime Premium
$7.99 USD (one-time purchase)

This is my early adopter price.

As the app grows and I add more features, Lifetime will become significantly more expensive (or may eventually be removed in favor of subscriptions).

I'm keeping this pricing only for the first wave of users who help shape the app with feedback.

So if you've been thinking about trying a digital wellbeing app, this is the cheapest it'll ever be.

I genuinely want early users to influence where Mozy goes next.

If you try it, I'd love any feedback, good or bad.

i built an app to fix your horrific scrolling posture, but i guess people prefer being hunched over.

i’m honestly about to pull my app from the play store.

i spent months building Pozy, a digital wellbeing app where a virtual pet lives on your screen and uses your phone’s tilt sensors to track your neck strain while you scroll. if you slouch, the pet gets depressed and cries until you sit up straight.

i genuinely thought people into wellness, biohacking, or just basic longevity would love a low effort way to fix their spine. but it’s sitting at zero traction.

i guess the average phone user is completely fine with putting 60lbs of pressure on their neck and looking like a literal gremlin while they mindlessly doomscroll for 6 hours a day. it’s wild how people will spend $1000 on a phone but won't spend two seconds to stop it from permanently wrecking their body.

if you actually care about your health and aren't fine with having a tech neck, the link is below. tell me if the app is actually broken or if people just genuinely don’t give a shit about their physical health anymore.

honestly losing my mind. spent months making an app just for it to sit at 50 downloads.

i’m about to completely give up on indie dev.

built this digital wellbeing app called pozy. the whole concept is that a cute virtual pet lives on your screen and tracks your posture using your phone’s tilt sensors while you scroll. if you slouch, the pet literally gets depressed and cries until you fix your neck.

i thought it was a genuinely good, fun idea to help people stop destroying their spines.

instead, absolutely nobody cares. zero traction. zero downloads. meanwhile, literal trash apps with basic timers get millions of views on tiktok and reddit.

is the idea actually just trash? or is the pet mechanic too annoying?

be brutally honest. go look at the store page and tell me why it looks dead, because at this point i feel like i just wasted months of my life for nothing.
