A bodybuilder turned runner - Anecdote!

I don't have the original source, since it's been like 10 years since I've read this somewhere. But basically a bodybuilder/powerbuilder male was explaining how he was about to run a marathon. He just boldly claimed something along the lines of "I will basically never run out of muscular endurance. My heart & lungs are the limiters"

Have you ever seen a bodybuilder marathon debut without insane cramps & walking it in from mile 17 at best? These MF's think they have the 'muscular endurance' to run a marathon after doing a few sets of hypertrophy leg extensions & -presses. HAAAHAHAHAHAHAaaa...

Kuullostaa

Se on kuulostaa. Yhdellä ällällä. Olen huomannut että moni kirjoittaa kahdella L-kirjaimella. Mistähän tuo mahtaa johtua? Kuullostaakin jo niin typerältä. Olisi helpompi ymmärtää jos koko lause olisi muutenkin kirjoitettu jollain murteella, mutta usein tuo on vain yksinäinen kummajainen keskellä muuten oikeaoppisesti kirjoitettua tekstiä.

Kuinka metsän hiilensidonta toimii?

Ihan yleissivistävänä tietona kaikille, että metsän hiilensidonta perustuu siihen, että puut kasvaa. Kasvaessaan ne ottaa ilmasta hiilidioksidia ja varastoivat hiilen runkoon, juuriin ja maaperään. Siksi kasvava metsä toimii hiilinieluna.

Jos metsä kuitenkin vanhenee ja lahoaa yhtä nopeasti kuin uutta kasvua syntyy, tilanne muuttuu tasapainoksi. Lahotessa puiden sisältämä hiili vapautuu takaisin ilmaan, eikä metsän hiilivarasto enää juuri kasva. Metsä voi silloin olla edelleen suuri hiilivarasto, mutta ei enää tehokas hiilinielu.

Maalaisjärjellä ajateltuna metsä sitoo hiiltä vain niin kauan kuin puuta syntyy enemmän kuin sitä hajoaa tai poistuu. Jokainen varmasti ymmärtää mihin päädytään ennen pitkää, jos metsätaloutta ei harjoiteta ja puita välillä myös poisteta hakkaamalla.

En ota millään tavalla kantaa monimuotoisuuteen tai muihinkaan luontoarvoihin. Puhtaasti vain hiilensidontateemaan.

So, hyrox lets a 4 person relay team buy their tickets without flex option. If even one of them are not able to participate, the ENTIRE team has to forfeit and buy the entire team tickets again? That's ridiculous. And no one can cosplay as the 4th member, because they check your ID? Lmao.

I don't do hyrox, just whining because this happened to a relative. I'm a sub 31 min 10k runner, and if any running race organized set up their ticket system this way, they would get shit on so hard by the community that the organization would disappear. Absolutely unacceptable. I'm not surprised if they'll face legal actions soon.
