One might say, “how fat are you? Sitting on it did all that?”. Let me explain. Was having a bad and stressful day at work. Went downstairs to the living room and sat on my couch. I didn’t just ‘sat’, I SAT. I sat down in a pouting manner. I sat down as if it was the end of the world. As I sat there, busy being mad at life, I felt something hard and getting warm under my ask.

I stood up, and there she was, my beautiful iPad Air 5th gen. It was face down on the sofa cushion and saw that the frame was bent inwards. I felt my soul leave my body. I reluctantly turned it over, hoping the screen was intact, and lo and behold..the screen was cracked. Actually, shattered. At that moment, it really sucked to be me.

For about a week, I suffered with using my iPhone 15’s minuscule screen. I didn’t even bother reaching out to Apple support, because I was embarrassed by what I did. After suffering staring at a screen for ants for a whole week, I reached out to support to find out what I can do.

Was up front with everything with them and explained what happened. They ended up sending me a replacement iPad Air 5th gen with a $49 accidental damage fee. There goes Apple Care+ to the rescue…again. This thing was already replaced earlier this year because I had issues with the battery on my previous one. Several months after, my replacement had the unfortunate kiss of death from my ass. I was actually surprised that they went forward with the replacement.

So yeah, Apple Care+ is highly recommended.
