Was sold as an amano shrimp but doesn’t look like any amano I’ve ever seen. Is it a wild type Neocaridina maybe?

Why is this corn snake so thick?
Someone just dropped it off at my job and the first thing that stuck out is that despite being 3 1/2 feet long he’s about as thick as a ball python. It’s even throughout the body too so it’s really puzzling why he’s built like a pool noodle.
