MDComputers sent me faulty RAM — how does ACRO RMA work?

I recently bought RAM from MDComputers, but the RAM turned out to be faulty. I sent it back to MDComputers for an RMA/warranty claim, but they denied my claim and said the RAM is working fine, even though I'm still having the same issues with it.

While looking for information about what I can do next, I came across some Reddit posts mentioning ACRO and their RMA/service process.

So I wanted to ask people who have dealt with ACRO before: how does the RMA process actually work?

I live in a small town in West Bengal, not in a metro city like Kolkata. If I need to make an RMA claim through ACRO, do they arrange pickup from my address, or would I have to ship the faulty RAM to them myself? Or would I actually need to travel to a service center?

Traveling to Kolkata for a warranty claim would be very difficult for me because I have a lot of work and responsibilities here that I can't really avoid or take time off from. So I'm hoping there's some kind of pickup or shipping option available for people who don't live near a service center.

If anyone here has dealt with ACRO for a RAM RMA, especially from a smaller town/city, I'd really appreciate hearing about your experience and how the process worked for you.

MDComputers says my faulty RAM is fine — how do I escalate this? First time dealing with an RMA issue

This is my first time dealing with a defective product/RMA situation, so I genuinely don't know what the proper escalation process is.

I bought 2 × ADATA XPG Gammix D35 16GB DDR4 3200MHz CL16 RAM from MDComputers.

One stick was clearly causing random BSODs, application crashes and complete PC crashes. I tested both sticks individually in the same motherboard slot. The other stick worked normally, while this particular stick consistently caused the crashes.

I provided MDComputers with videos and OCCT/memory-test evidence. They accepted the return and I sent the faulty RAM back.

They have now received it and replied saying they tested it for more than 2 hours and found no issue. They sent me a video of their testing and offered to send the same RAM back to me, but want ₹149 for shipping both ways.

My issue is that their video doesn't show a proper memory stability test. I have asked them to test the RAM properly using OCCT Memory at high memory usage or MemTest86 and provide the actual results.

I also have my original videos, OCCT logs, BSOD/WinDbg evidence, individual-stick testing, courier manifest, tracking and the complete email conversation.

I'm currently waiting for their response.

My question is: what is the proper way to escalate this in India if they refuse to replace/refund the RAM or send the same defective stick back without properly addressing the issue?

This is my first time dealing with something like this, so I'd appreciate advice from people who have actually gone through an MDComputers RMA/consumer complaint before.

Should I go through National Consumer Helpline first, contact their grievance officer, or is there another escalation route I should follow?

I don't want to unnecessarily start a legal fight, but I also don't want to keep going back and forth with them if they refuse to properly resolve a defective-product claim.

MDComputers DOA Replacement — Defective RAM Returned, But No Word on Replacement

Update: MDComputers DOA replacement — RAM delivered, still waiting for resolution

This is an update to my previous post about my DOA RAM issue with MDComputers.

For context, I ordered 2 × ADATA XPG Gammix D35 16GB DDR4 3200MHz CL16 RAM. I received them on August 2 and immediately started getting random BSODs, application crashes and complete PC crashes.

I spent quite a bit of time troubleshooting before contacting MDComputers:

Updated my motherboard to the latest BIOS.

Performed a fresh Windows installation.

Tested the RAM at different speeds, including 3000MHz.

Analyzed the BSOD dumps with WinDbg.

Ran OCCT memory testing.

Tested both RAM sticks individually in the same motherboard slot.

The result was very clear: one RAM stick was stable, while the other consistently caused crashes.

With the faulty stick:

Random BSODs.

Applications crashing immediately after opening.

Random complete PC crashes.

Crashes during normal use.

OCCT memory test crashing.

The other stick worked normally under the same conditions.

I contacted MDComputers on August 3 because August 2 was a Sunday. They asked me to record videos showing the issue, which I did. I sent them videos showing the faulty stick crashing and the other stick working normally.

MDComputers then approved the return and generated a reverse pickup.

There was initially a long delay with the courier pickup, and I had to follow up multiple times. Eventually, the faulty RAM was picked up on August 8.

The XpressBees tracking subsequently showed that the parcel was delivered to MDComputers in Kolkata on August 14 at 2:38 PM.

And now I'm waiting again.

As of today, I have not received confirmation that they have tested the RAM, nor have I received any information about whether the replacement has been approved or when it will be dispatched.

I have already provided:

Video evidence of the crashes.

OCCT/memory testing evidence.

BSOD/WinDbg evidence.

Testing showing the other RAM stick works normally.

Courier pickup documentation.

Tracking showing the faulty RAM was delivered back to them.

I'm not asking for anything unreasonable here. The faulty RAM has already been returned and delivered to them. I just want to know whether they have received and tested it and when I'm actually going to receive the replacement/refund.

I'm continuing to keep everything documented in case I need to escalate the matter further.

For anyone who has dealt with MDComputers DOA/RMA before: how long did they take after receiving the defective product to actually process the replacement?

MDComputers DOA replacement process - Is this normal or am I being ignored?

Hi everyone,

I'm looking for some advice regarding a DOA replacement with MDComputers because I'm starting to feel like my time is being wasted.

I ordered 2 × Adata XPG Gammix D35 16GB DDR4 3200MHz CL16 DDR4 RAM. I received the RAM on 2nd August and installed it the same day. Almost immediately, my PC started experiencing random crashes and BSODs.

Instead of assuming the RAM was faulty, I spent several hours troubleshooting to rule out every other possible cause. Here's everything I did:

  • Updated my motherboard to the latest BIOS.
  • Performed a completely fresh Windows installation.
  • Lowered the RAM speed from 3200 MHz to 3000 MHz.
  • Analyzed multiple BSOD crash dumps using WinDbg.
  • Ran OCCT Memory stress tests.
  • Tested each RAM stick individually in the same motherboard slot.

After all of this, the results were very clear.

One RAM stick works perfectly without any issues.

The other RAM stick consistently causes:

  • Random Blue Screen (BSOD) errors.
  • Random PC crashes and restarts.
  • Applications crashing immediately after opening.
  • Games crashing the entire PC.
  • OCCT Memory test crashing within seconds.

When I use the good RAM stick in the exact same motherboard slot, the system is stable. Applications don't crash, games run normally, and the OCCT Memory test runs without any issues.

Since 2nd August was a Sunday, MDComputers' support was unavailable, so I contacted them on 3rd August as soon as they reopened.

After explaining the issue, they asked me to record videos showing the problem. I recorded multiple videos showing:

  • The faulty RAM stick crashing during the OCCT Memory test.
  • The faulty RAM stick causing the PC to crash during normal use.
  • The working RAM stick running under the same conditions in the same motherboard slot without any crashes.

After reviewing the videos, they replied:

>

Since then, I haven't received:

  • Any email from the logistics team.
  • Any phone call.
  • Any pickup request.
  • Any tracking details.
  • Any update at all.

Today is 4th August, and despite following up, I'm still waiting with no communication about when the faulty RAM will be picked up or when the replacement process will actually begin.

Has anyone here gone through MDComputers' DOA replacement process?

  • How long did it take before the logistics team contacted you?
  • Is this lack of communication normal?
  • How long did it take for the pickup and replacement to be completed?

At this point, I've spent hours troubleshooting, isolated the issue to a single defective RAM stick, provided all the evidence they requested, and I'm still left waiting without any clear update.

Any advice or shared experiences would be greatly appreciated.
