Hi everyone! I’ve been working on NRMenu v1.0, a free menu update for the ED64 Plus based on ALTRA64.

It adds:

Box art loaded automatically by Game ID

Favorites

Recently played history

Game region, size and save-type information

Customizable backgrounds and colors

A cleaner interface for browsing large N64 collections

A Ready-to-Use package for easy installation

I tested it on real ED64 Plus hardware and documented the full installation process.

¡Hola a todos! Quería compartir uno de mis últimos proyectos retro DIY: hice una especie de “Game Boy Printer 2.0” usando un ESP32 y una mini impresora térmica Bluetooth.

La idea fue que la Game Boy crea que está imprimiendo en una Game Boy Printer real a través del puerto Link Cable, pero en realidad el ESP32 captura la imagen, la guarda en una galería web interna y también puede enviarla de forma inalámbrica a una impresora térmica china SC03h.

La probé con Game Boy Camera, Pokémon Yellow y Super Mario Bros. Deluxe. Puede manejar fotos normales, diplomas Pokémon, banners de Mario e impresiones multipágina como una sola imagen continua.

Fue un desarrollo bastante largo: entender el protocolo de la Game Boy Printer, resolver los tiempos del Link Cable, guardar imágenes, crear una galería web local, imprimir por Bluetooth y lograr que las imágenes multipágina salgan correctamente.
