Solar gazebo part 2 completed

Hi all thanks for all your comments and suggestions on the gazebo build

I've just finished the solar install

Full build video is on my YouTube channel here

https://youtu.be/1VEfMtnrakg

Happy to answer and questions or if you have any suggestions to improve this please comment

Initial 3 day test is producing 11kw per day from a 2.16kw array this is my first install so not sure what the expected result should be if this was pointing south at correct angle ?

Gazebo solar rails recommendations

Hey everyone

Working on my next project a big 2.6kw solar gazebo, I have it all built it can with stand 100moh windows and 2 Chuck Norris

The roof is 6x2 timbers at 40cm centres looking for recommendations on what rails and fittings to use. Was looking at the k2 basic rail but it says it's for sheet metal roofing mine are to be screwed width ways Into many of the joists. Need to be heavy duty to survive any wind uplift. The whole structure is bolted down to 900kg of concrete so the rails are going to be the weakest spot

Will be fitting 4x595w longhi panels

Thanks in advance !

Just finished my garden room build !

Well this was a complete monster build that took over my life and almost defeated me physically and mentally ! Turns out you can solo build your own custom room but having friends is recommended

Here's mine I've got the odd bit of trim left and a vertical solar panel to add next to the.door but this cost me just under £3500 to build from scratch

I put the full build video on YouTube if you want to watch how I did it, it's fully insulated , plastered and waterproof laminate floor currently housing my solar stuff but if a waste but it's out of the weather 😂 completed this 2 months back and hasn't fallen down yet

Full build video is on my YouTube channel @ragdolldiy

New solar install phantom load

Hi all

Had my inverter installed yesterday and having a few issues , it's a Solis s6 8kw L plus, I've hooked up 2 x 16kw batteries via bus bars to the inverter and have them running in Solis protocol, the inverter is set to pylon_lv

Things seem to be working but I was getting phantom 8kw spikes on the load and then the battery was having the same spikes trying to compensate, this isn't real load or usage there's nothing capable of drawing that power in the house all that was on was a tv and 2 computers

Any ideas what's causing this

I have eastron sdm120ct at house side plugged into a waveshare rs485 Ethernet(b) set up as tcp server and connected by Ethernet to my router, in the garden room I have the inverter going to the waveshare set up as client plugged into a wifi extender, wifi signal is showing strong and no alarms around comms all looks solid

Appreciate any ideas or settings I need to look at

Transformed our lounge floor with metallic epoxy resin, failed twice before nailing it on the 3rd attempt

Decided to transform our lounge into a luxury space for our 7 Ragdoll cats with a GlassCast 3 metallic epoxy resin floor. What could go wrong?

Turns out... a lot. Failed twice before finally getting it perfect on the 3rd pour. Part 1 of the series covers every mistake I made so you don't have to repeat them.

Happy to answer any questions about the process, products used, or what went wrong!

I wasted £1500 trying to lay a metallic epoxy floor... twice. Here's everything that went wrong (and how I finally nailed it on the 3rd attempt)

My impartial review of the Yuka Mini 2 1000 is now up!

my first ever youtube video is finally up! I was going to post up my epoxy resin floor and/or my garden room build first, but this one was much quicker to edit.

Spoiler alert, a few days on i actually love this even after a few initial hiccups from me not reading the manual! if youre looking to buy one feel free to take a look at my video
