• My inspiration: 6 years ago I randomly opened a shop to see if I could get some money. Covid allowed me more time so I wanted to give it a try selling digital, seen i'm an illustrator. I did few pieces (that I enjoyed a lot drawing) who sold well at the beginning, then after few months i basically forgot about the store til now, and it still provided 3-5€ per month since (so, thanks for the free coffee)
• Point is that I started again. having an old shop probably is a bonus, like the old reviews, but I changed products cause in the clipart there's now so much AI that it made no sense to me to draw to beat them (quality couldn't beat that quantity imo), even if I choose a similar niche.. Something that again is fun to make for me :3 I looked for a while which fields could involve drawing and I discovered that pixelart had an unespected use..

now I'm slowly adding new stuff and removing the old one, because is different styles and the old onessimply don't sell much anymore
I don't expect to know soon if I choose the right thing/field but I'd like some feedback

1. Is it clear at first glance what my new pieces (top 7) are about? I mean, what I'm selling (considering that is digital stuff)
2. And are the gallery images enough clear about the products? I know they say the more images the better, but I feel that i could ust add too many pics without them being the righe/needed ones
3. prices also confuse me a bit because I see similar stuff sold for veeery different prices and I'm not sure if starting low could help or just make me look "cheap"

I'm not sure yet about the banner, I changed it 5 times rn and still not sure. Because it doesn't convey well my idea but at least the mood. I know that probably even my larger pieces are a bet that I won't won.. the subjects are way too complicated compared with the competitors, but I loved the idea to create pieces connected with a story, so that part is basically something I did for my own joy XD

I'm thinking to add some more simple versions of the artworks but I fear to start adding too many different things so at present maybe I should stick to alphabets as main, and just leave the art for my perosnal satisfaction..

2 days ago I ended up talking with a person who was looking for money before Tuesday's paycheck,and surprise surprise now their account results in BANNED.. yesterday he even came telling that he needed more money to bring his mommy to the doctor. thank you, I've been retarded once, I don't need to double down u.u lesson learnt (never help anyone)

Meanwhile

My pc broke. So technically now I need money not just for the experiement xD and I found a person who promised 50 for a commissioned short video of my feet (stepping on gummy bears).. but it's like 3 days that he asks details and such so there's a 50% chance is just someone who wants to troll women wasting their time.. at least wasn't annoying :3

I still like updating this diary :) and hope I'll find someone who's really interested and willing to pay in less than a decade.

Well, yesterday I ended up talking with a person who was looking for money, and after a while he confessed he needed money basically to go to work, and that Tuesday would have received his pay so was trying to survive til then.

And.. I gave him. So at present my balance is gone negative XD

Am I stupid? Probably. Do I believe my guts and that he's a good person? Absolutely.
I accept bets about money returning lol

This last weeks I couldn't handle the overwhelming amount of tasks anymore (in my case several books to illustrate o.o), so I started using a simple Google timer combined with a random number generator. I numbered my massive list of to-do because I didn't know where to start: the big tasks gave me anxiety, and I couldn't decide whether to clear small ones first. By assigning numbers and working on whatever came up for just 5-7 minutes, I managed to chip away at everything without the usual stress

Even if I didn't finish entirely many tasks, making that small dent meant that by the end of the day, I had actually produced twice as much as usual

A friend even did a stupid app for this, a sort of slot machine or tasks jar if you want XD but you can easily do it with just a randomizer and a timer. When you have too many projects, translating everything into equal-sized 'bricks' makes it feel like a manageable construction rather than an insurmountable mountain. As someone who is neurodivergent, this method was a lifesaver for when things got truly out of hand :3

Things I've on my side: wonderful hands, drawing skills (but should be very quick stuff for just few €), a beautiful voice (males say), a gorgeous siberian cat, nice calligraphy (and no porn)

a friend of mine (she's belgian) is looking urgently for something cheap around Gent (especially because of services and queer environment). and with urgently I mean she'll basically be "op straat" very soon because of a bad partner.. btw. I really donno how to help, she's obviously already looking for something, but she lives with a social salary (I don't know the actual name, I'm not belgian) and most of the landlords require a job proof. I said her I could help paying in advance months if that helps, but still they don't consider her "safe" enough because of the job.. is there something I could tell her to look for? someone I could ask?
