I got an email today that the sale price on the bag I was watching went to 40% off so I pounced. Don’t know if there will still be a chance at another 10 or 15%, but at lest my patience was rewarded 🥰👜🩷. Go check those carts!
After posting photos of my sp33dy Bandouliere 25 as BOTD earlier today, it occurred to me that the rep community might like to see a side by side of the El Vee Giant Monogram Empreinte leather from 3 of the top quality factories, God, MB Ultimate, and Royal. Yes, I love this leather so much that I have three different bags from three different 🏭 so this review is for the leather itself, NOT the bags. In fact, all three bags have really nice structure, alignment, and hardware and I carry them confidently. The first set of photos were all taken in natural daylight with my I phone in portrait mode for apples to apples.

This bag clearly has the highest quality leather. The leather smell was the strongest with this bag new, thought to be fair it is the largest and has the least structure too it. Leather is pliable, feels lux and is the “blackest” of the bunch. The embossing seems “just right.” I am so pleased with the quality I might order another one while I know the factory is crushing it. I’m obsessed! The photo also shows the interior, which has the DGAZ silk organizer. It doesn’t quite match but I like knowing it’s protecting the interior from the inevitable spilled cup of something.

This leather has the shallowest embossing. It’s also the most ‘dry’ looking. I bought some Bick 4 and Leather Honey and am going to attempt conditioning it. It’s probably the oldest leather since it was a reh0me. This bag has a stronger grain than the God. I like it and the depth of the embossing doesn’t bother me as I feel like the auth’s are over the place on this. I’m happy with the quality and have never been disappointed with MB.

This leather isn’t quite as pliable as the God but it is a small and structured bag. It’s less “dark’ than the God empreinte and has more grain. It smelled like leather out of the box, and even more so one it aired out without the foam packaging. I’m happy with it and don’t think anyone would be disappointed especially at the price point.

Leather is a little less pliable than my Neverfull in empreinte leather from God that I ordered with this, but still REALLY nice. Smelled like leather from Day One.
Great depth to embossing, nice matte finish, and shape/ structure are perfect.
Hardware is solid and pretty gold, but so is the auth. My only call out was that the rings on the side sit a little lower than the auth. Heading out the door with this cutie today!

I know we’ve had some scams with buyers in AZ making false claims after shipment.
Rehoming a brand new, never carried small featherlight Lo3we puzzle bag in Pecan. This bag has incredible slouch. Leather came just as you are seeing it- needed no conditioning and has the perfect shape. Great neutral color. I’m going to regret letting this go but I have WAY too many tan small bags and I keep reaching for my well worn Strathberry Mosaic bag, which is basically the same size and color. Save yourself the QC and dealing with busy sellers for the 6.18 madness 😜
