How long does it usually takes you to draw full body and clean line work?

After, years of mostly drawing portrait/bust up I finally decided to learn full body drawing/anatomy.

Needless to say......... It was quite a challenge. Especially when I just started drawing again after awhile.

It was kinda fun, but I can't really draw complex poses. Even for simple poses, I find it quite hard.

Anyway, I drew a full body drawing with a simple pose yesterday (with reference). Sketching it was quite easy, but when I move to cleaning the line/artline, I started noticing some of my mistakes and I find myself trying to fix the mistake over and over again.

By the time I finished with the clean line art, I noticed its already been around 2hrs.... And I haven't started colouring it yet.

This made me wonder whether drawing full body or just cleaning the line art really took this long for everyone else too. Or maybe I'm just bad at full body and slow at line art😭😭. How long does it usually take for you to draw full body or clean you line art??

Do you have any advice/tip to draw full body ( and poses)? What about the line art, any tips to clean the line art faster?

More info:

-I draw digitally on Krita

-I'm leaning more to anime art style (I've been trying to be more consistent with my art style).

Would anyone be interested in this kind of commission? (+NeedAdvice) (More info in body)

So I want to start doing commission and saving up for the moonlight event (and perhaps some pocket money for uni too lol). Buuut, I'm not really sure what kind of commission/art I should do since I just started drawing again.

My idea is this some sort of character sheet for skykid, oc or any character actually. The one shown is chibi but I can try making one for non chibi too (the price would be higher tho)

I'm thinking about pricing it for 8$-10$ (5$ for full body chibi and 3$ for bust up)? Is that a good price? Or maybe I should lower TT

It usually takes me about 3 days to 1 week to complete this, it could take longer tho (depending on complexity and my schedule).

I'm using PayPal as a payment method btw.

Can someone explain how trading art for IAPs and art for hearts work?

I never traded art for IAPs or hearts before. But I wanted to open a trade offer (art for PayPal/IAPs/hearts) soon and I want to understand how it works first 🥲🥲.

I drew this cool skykid I met the other day! (Don't use without permission)

Btw if you're reading this, is this good enough for an art commission? If yes how much would you think the price should be?

Question regarding art commissions. (Read body)

So, I've seen a lot of art commissions offer for either IAPs or hearts here. But I haven't really seen one with other payment methods like PayPal or wise.... So, I was wondering whether that kind of payment method is allowed??

I asked this because I'm trying to save money for upcoming moonlight days. I really want the antlers/horns, and was thinking about about doing commission for it. Well.... several 5 bucks commissions (I don't think my art is good enough for a 15 bucks commission yet).

Any PayPal alt? What payment methods do you use as an artist?

So I was thinking about starting a commission in the near future. Buuuut.... I want to keep my identity anonymous. I mean, I want people to see my artist name and NOT my real name.

So I opened a PayPal business account a couple of weeks ago I think. And it got permanently limited..... At first I was thinking about just deleting the account and starting a new one or just upgrading my old personal account but I can't seem to unlink my bank account from my permanently limited account. 😭

So, I was wondering what other ways or payment methods do you use as an artist.

I would prefer to be able to use my artist name when accepting payment but it wasn't necessary anymore.... (I need money)

*Insert crying sounds

[Discussion] as an artist what payment methods do you use?

I don't have any payment methods that I use yet. I would prefer that other people see my artist name instead of my real name.

So, I opened a business account on Pay al and it got permanently limited today 😭. I haven't even received any money yet..... I was thinking about closing the account and maybe start a new one/upgrade my old personal account to business acc but I weren't able to unlink my bank account......

So..... I was wondering what other way or payment methods I can use.

Again, I prefer if I could use my artist name instead of my real name but it wasn't necessary...

ALSO, additional questions where do you post your art??

Why does some people are so toxic even in unrated mode?? (Rant)

So, I started playing Valorant early this year (on and off) and my skills are very bad I admit. Because of that, I always choose to play unrated even though I have already reached level 20. I don't want the stress from playing comp hahaha.

Anyway, today I got a toxic player as my teammates. He literally got mad at me for missing my shoots and started spamming in chat + yelling on VC. Mind you it's only been 2-3 rounds.....

I muted him ofc. But he started dropping smoke on me every round after that.

This is the part where I don't get... Why do (some) people act like this in unrated? They won't even lose any RR if we lose the match. And Why in the world, would people that want to win so much start yelling and sabotaging their own teammates?? Do they think the yelling, insult and sabotaging will help us aim better??

They should've played comp mode instead if they want to with people with the same skill levels.

(Btw, this happened in Sg server. I don't where else to rant/vent bc my friends do not play valo ToT)

Anyway, for anyone reading this have a good day and please be nice to other players. 👋👋

Storytime about how I was trying to FOOLISHLY comfort someone "su1cidal" 😀😀 (kinda long and a bit unorganized)

(Sorry for any grammartical error or typos)

So, about a year ago, I met this graykid and became friends with them. On our first few conversations, he was very pessimistic.... This should've been my first warning but I know people get sad and depressed from time to time so I just waved it off. He is Ukrainian, so his english is kinda broken and sometimes things that he said didn't even make any sense.

I was having a hard time trying to keep up conversation with him because of that. But it eventually turned out kinda okay. He did still say some weird things like he gets attached to people easily, but I didn't really take that seriously. Anyway from that conversation, I found out that we shared some common interests. So when he asked me if we could be friends on discord or telegram, I said yes since I use discord to chat with my game friends.

Anyway, we only had a few chats on discord before I had to focus on studying for my exam. (Oh, in one of the conversations, he suddenly asked me if I wanted him to call me 😀... I didn't send any reply to that dw lol. I am not comfortable with being on a call with someone I just met especially from a game)

Fast forward to a few weeks later, I texted him asking how he was doing and he replied with normal replies until suddenly, he asked " why do you decide to write to me after all this time?"💀💀..... Mind you it's only been a few weeks and I did mention my exam and apologize for being busy when I asked how he was doing. Why did he ask that as if we are some estranged friends or ex-partner 😭.

(I don't know how or why but I ended up keep chatting with him after that from time to time but it was mostly about games. )

One day, or about a couple of weeks after that he suddenly texted me asking how I was doing and said that he was "in bad way" his words not mine. Anyway, I was concerned after reading that and asked how he was doing.

He sent text saying "sad" "I want love" "but no one wants that with me" then he said because of that he doesn't want to live. This was the first time someone said things like this and I was panicking.

I tried to comfort him...... And you know what he said???? He said only if someone said that they love him will that feeling (not wanting to live) go away. Now from here you could guess what he wants from me right 🥰🥰?? BUT I was panicking at that time and I thought that it only sounds like that because of his broken english.

So, I foolishly kept trying to comfort him and he kept on saying things like "people usually hear these words from a person they met 2 weeks ago ....yada yada ...... And I never hear those words". THEN, I told him that things like that need time and I, myself don't really hear people saying they love that much (it mostly because of our culture lol anyway). HE THEN SAID "" I CaN saY it IF yuO nEed it" 💀💀.

I was so done with this person at this point..... I tried to reject him and tell him that I'm only comfortable and interested in starting a relationship with someone I know well and for a long time. But he keeps saying, that way was never and will never work for him because he'll be friendzoned forever. Then he asked me "Would you then condemn everyone to friendship without love?" 💀💀. Bruh.. I was stating my preference not forcing you or anyone to follow it. In fact he's the one trying to force me.

So, after going back and forth for quite some time and seeing no solution to this, I just told him that I'm a guy!

I never told him anything about my gender and he just assumed I was a woman 😂. He even claimed I told him I was a girl when we first met. No, I never. I only told him my name and a few things about myself.

I blocked him right there and then. This made me wonder if he knew or thought that I was a man, would he even bother befriending me and all that?? I know that some people, both men and women only add people to get in relationships with them and it was so sad and disappointing. Ahh, I'm also very sad and angry that some people use the "su1cide" topic as a way for them to get something/manipulate people.....

Anyway, tell me about your experience from players on sky (I'm bored), it could be about anything, drama, problematic people, heartwarming etc.

Ps: might edit this post to correct any spelling mistakes or grammatical errors.

What is the function of this thing????

So, I'm trying to animate something on krita and still trying to figure out the UI?? (I'm not sure what it's called). Anyway I was wondering what the function of this button is. I tried clicking on it and I didn't notice anything happens.

I've animated something before, but it was on ibis (with the help of capcut lol). So yeah I'm, not used to krita's animation layout/interface yet.

I made my 1st Disco Elysium fanart!!

(I drew this. Please don't use or repost it without permission.)

I haven't been able to draw as much as I used to these past few years due to some personal issues. But recently, I got kinda motivated to draw again. I'm not really sure why... Disco Elysium is one of the games that I've been playing these past few months, and I love that game so much.... I can't really express it. The game is very special to me... So, I tried to make a fanart of it. I'm well aware that my skill or art is still lacking in so many aspects. But, I'm really proud of this piece and myself. This is the first art/fanart I've drawn in a while and I actually (kinda) finished it! (Please ignore the background... I'm not used to drawing background 😭).

Also I've been thinking about posting and sharing my arts on social media again. So I would be very very grateful if any of you guys take the time to check my Instagram: @merparty._ and Tumblr: @merparty

Both of the profiles have the same profile picture btw!

As an artist, what platforms or social media do you usually share your arts on??

So, I haven't really drawn that much for these past few years due to some personal issues. But recently, I started getting (crazy) motivated to draw again and I kinda want to properly start learning how to draw again (mostly anatomy and rendering) and also to finally start learning animation.

Anyways, for the past few weeks, I have made some drawings that I'm kinda proud of and wanted to share some of it. But I haven't posted my art on any platforms for so long now (except on tiktok, but it was almost a year ago and I literally only have 1 post there).

So, I'm wondering what platforms or social media do other artists usually share their arts on??

(Btw, I used to post my arts on Instagram years ago and I've tried Tumblr once. I still haven't gotten used to Tumblr but I did have a nice experience from posting my art there before. And as for Instagram, I remember the last time I posted my art there, the algorithm is very bad and my art barely reached anyone even with all the hashtags. Is it still worth it to share my art on Instagram??)
