I had to do it

I keep hitting these moments where I’ll make like 20 paintings over the course of a month and something finally clicks and I reach a new level of understanding with art and I think this is the most recent painting where something clicked

I added more shadows than was even in the reference photo, but it looks so off to me.
I might chosen a reference with bad lighting, but I was hoping there was some sort of fix for this

I usually paint as a creative outlet, but I really wanted to try this

Should I use a gloss or satin varnish for this?

Art block is hitting hard and I have zero inspiration, but I wanna paint

I learned a lot of things while painting this that I will definitely incorporate moving forward, that being said, I think I’m going to turn this concept into a series.
