I just finished the second piece in my painted taxidermy series

The new one still needs to be varnished, but I am waiting for the paint to settle.

I’ve made some changes do to the overwhelming amount of advice on my last post.

While I understand that I’m not at a professional artist level, I am putting this piece at my table to sell at my local art walk. It is very low key, I am doing it for fun and the experience.
(to all the people saying it’s not good enough to sell)
I’ve been painting forever, but only started taking it seriously three-ish months ago. I hope to be better as time goes on, but i am still working and learning.

Edit: I have posted the complete finished, varnished, and hanging, picture of this piece on my insta. I just didn’t want to be redundant and keep posting it on Reddit

How much would you pay for something like this at an art walk? I thrifted the plaque and it will be able to be hung

I still have to varnish it.
I’m participating in an art walk this Friday and I’m just not sure because if I go on the lower end, it feels priced too low for what it is, but if I go on the higher end. It feels like nobody would buy it.

Edit: I have made changes to this piece and posted the result

Another goose painting in my series

I both love it, and feel like there’s a lot of things I would fix if I wasn’t worried about overworking it

I think I’d call this a study since it’s so close to the reference. Haven’t painted a person in a while.

Not in love with how my subject doesn’t really stand out from the background, but I’m going to keep that in mind for the next one.

Any ideas for different situations I could paint a cat in?

This is my first time really painting a structure so it’s kind of not the best. But here is my wizard goose :)

I’m participating in my first art walk next month and I’ve been working on a bunch of 4x4 paintings. I did a coffee series first and now geese. What price might you expect or be willing to pay on something like this?

Any thoughts on what I should do next?
