Stepping Stone Downtown.

I think it's a good idea to support the homeless population but I am getting a little tired of seeing near daily street parties right outside of the building and don't think they should be enabled to do so. It's right down the road from the police station ffs. Today for example I was just walking to Mcdonalds at 8:30 am to get a coffee, and a bagel. There were a couple dozen people drinking, listening to music on a big speaker, and some visibly smoking a crack pipe out in the open. When I was a teenager back in the day I got in trouble and parents were involved when I got caught smoking weed with some friends at riverside park on Canada day. I know that is legal now but when did we decide to stop caring about hard drug usage? It's not fair to anybody

Family of Raccoons under my home

Hi all I think this is the right place to ask.

I have a family of raccoons under my home, and of course I do not intend to hurt them but they are causing damage to the siding, insulation, and leaving a mess. It is legal where I live to trap them, and release within 1km of where they were found.

Has anyone ever done this before? If I were to hire a company are they mandated to release the animals safely the same way I plan to?

E Motos, e- Bikes, E Scooters, and even the normal bikes too.

Hi All,

Am I just paying more attention this year or are we experiencing an explosion in unsafe riding habits across the board, and plenty of illegal bikes in our city?

I ride my e bike year round to work, errands, and when its warmer for pleasure, and I am very worried that I'm going to be regulated off the road because of these idiots. I ride a 350w cruiser bike usually, and have been appreciating e bikes for the 4th year in a row now. I do ride a conventional bike still sometimes, and am always following the rules of the road.

Yesterday I saw something that was really unfortunate but not surprising, and wished a cop was around to see it. Going up Silvercreek on the sidewalk, and later the bike lane near the tim hortons and beyond were some young teenage looking people on e motos speeding around, dodging pedestrians, and one in particular was playing chicken with oncoming people. Their parents are irresponsible buying teens bikes like that. It's only one example though of things the police need to start addressing. I would not complain if every illegal e moto was taken off the road until they get registered and insured as that would place more responsibility on the rider most of them are powerful enough to keep up with or even pass cars.

What are the PA Security messages for?

Ive noticed a pattern lately, and cant help but feel im being profiled when I enter my local dollarama of which I've been going to for a long time. Is it because I visibly ride a bike and not the best looking guy in town? I even lock my bag outside when I go in.

Ill notice even when im the only person in the store ill hear something like "security level 3" or something like that. When I asked a worker today about it, and said im concerned I was just told she couldn't tell me, another time I asked I was told it was random and I think that is BS.

I make good money and would never steal a damn thing. This has my social anxiety going through the roof and makes me not want to shop there.

Velotric Canada Question

Hi all,

After a few weeks of research I'm pretty sure that I will buy a Velotric. They have really good reviews, are just above my budget I had in mind at first but not by too much so that is okay.

If you buy from Velotric.ca does the bike ship from within Canada? I have heard that if it ships from the USA I can get hit with fees upon delivery.

I am looking to purchase the Discover 3.

Can this be fixed?

Hi all I am wondering if this can be fixed, and appreciate any responses. I do notice the bike needs a good wash it's that dirty because I have been riding a lot of rail trails😄. This is where I think my problem happened. I hit a large pothole at full speed that somebody had filled in with some really loose sand 😞 The spoke is out of the motor casing, and is loose on the rim side.
