Rough labradorite?
I got this specimen in a bulk lot so unfortunately no geographic info. There will be a video in the comments showing the blue flash under sunlight. It is relatively light for its size and has a mica like appearance.

Gore mountain Garnet Amphibolite
I believe this is a large garnet but I am unsure of the just rock. I unfortunately do not have geographic information because it was bought at a flea market (for a dollar)
Google is unsure of this one it guessed from olivine to dragon blood.
This by far the most brilliant fluorescent mineral in my collection. Please help me out a name to it.
I made this from a piece of the Chrysocolla I acquired. It came out far better than expected. Overall I am very happy with the result but I might spend a little more time polishing to see if I can get that mirror finish.
Picked up all of this for $20 at an estate sale
Chrysicola,varicite and lapis(?)
Was slabbing a Brazilian agate and the heel was very thin so I just dropped it in the cull bucket. After I finished cutting for the day I looked in the bucket and saw this vulture staring back at me. I had to go out in the yard and find him the perfect perch.
I thought about polishing it but it’s so fragile I’m afraid it would break. The scratches and ridges just make it looks like feathers
I’m looking for opinions on the best way to cut this 4 bubble thunder egg. Based on the exposed window I’m thinking about cutting right where the fracture starts . This would give me a 4 chamber top and a 3 chamber bottom.
Of course it needs to stay together while I cut but I have high hopes
Cut,polished and photographed. (245nm)
Pot hole opened a gate to hell at the intersection of Cliff st and Taughannock Blvd
These pieces have fantastic pseudomorphs and awesome banding. The fluorescing images are under 325nm
I recently purchased a 245nm/filtered 265nm uv light and Wow. Here are unedited images of a crazy lace slab under the 245nn and natural light.
More pictures to come
Does anyone facet agates?
I know the sparkle isn’t there but I’m curious about how they would look
A really premium batch of Malawi agates. That first one got a through the mask WOW!
